We just spent a week out there in Eagle. Talking to some people, they were upset about the new developments and house prices. I kindly told them “Don’t be upset at the developers, be upset at the people selling their land to developers”.

@@livinginidaho I agree. We had the same issue in Ridgefield, WA. Tons of people started moving there, developers came in and house prices doubled. Locals were upset that it was growing so much and they didn’t like all the new houses and residents moving in. I just told them to be upset at people selling their land, not at the developers buying land. Supply and demand 🤷‍♂️

I moved to Eagle from east county Portland in June of 2016 before property values skyrocketed. Best decision I could have made. Quiet, safe, very little homelessness,m and very low violent crime rate.

Wife and I have been there several times in the past two years. We live in San Diego and each time we go we talk about how cool the Boise area is. About 90 percent of shops and restaurants we have here in San Diego, you have there somewhere in the Boise area. You cant beat the no graffiti, no homeless and low crime there. Not once have we ever had anyone give us any attitude about being from California and most of the people we meet are from California. Great videos.

As a local that lived in Idaho almost all his life. During to COVID people just ran to Idaho and just killed our economy. It easy for them to sell a house for $800000 in CA and Buy one for $500000 in Idaho.

... And I agree with you 100%. You seem to be very very rational. It does take a specific person who does not want the convenience of a larger city and likely more rural. But like you said, for some, it's a benefit. Those of us who live in Texas, Florida or other free states, we get it. In my opinion, red states give more happiness -- not chasing crazy new things of the day coming from NYC, California or Illinois. My biggest issue is travel (direct airports), family too far away and other ... But I do follow your videos and maybe one day...

I like your videos about Idaho as well. I think you walk a fine line between promoting your business that caters to a lot of people from blue states/cities that are looking for a place to flee to while also telling it how it really is there and explaining why your area is a pretty nice place to be. Maybe in a few more years I'll be one of them if Idaho can stick to their state motto.

Hey Craig, I watch your videos and Brigg's videos on Idaho and specifically Boise. Born and raised native Boisean 4th Generation Idahoan 52+ years, (Can you tell I'm pretty proud of that fact? ) 😍 Anyways, the whole "Greater Idaho" issue will never happen. You have to involve Congress and the Federal Gov't to even consider this and that is something that stops this whole thing in its tracks. States can't just "move the borders" in the U.S. If Oregon was its own country and Idaho its own country... maybe. But that isn't what the U.S. is. And as Briggs said, you don't get to have all the benefits of living in rural Oregon and being away from all the chaos in Portland. We all have to make sacrifices. Can't have your cake and eat it too.

Been here 8 years and coming here my whole life to visit family. In my experience Idahoans are mean/rude drivers, talk a lot of smack online, but are incredibly friendly face to face. Take from that what you will.

I rented a house in 2020 in Victor Idaho when my family visited the Tetons . Wow that area is expensive. Houses there are about the same as they are here in California

Victor Idaho and the Driggs (Teton county) area have been pricey for 2 decades. I have family in Driggs and I spent most summers there and I'll tell you, the prices started getting higher around 2003 and have never come down.

Totally, I wouldn't want to move to another city with lots of shopping. That's why Boise is the city with my values, I am a senior, and the River is the number one priority for me, and of course that most of the state is Red (Republican) too. 😉

I couldn't agree more. I like. watching his KZbin content as well, but you can definitely tell that he is very liberal. Most of the videos he puts out are at least 50% speculation and more opinion than fact. You can tell in most of his videos he talks about how he loves Portland, LA, San Francisco and Seattle. Which to me is hilarious cause all of those cities are cesspools full of insane people who vote for insane politicians.
