Jesus will certainly win in the end, however as part of the decision made by Adam and Eve, Satan is controlling this world through people. Jesus will step in occasionally, but until the end, the environment on this planet is people/satan controlled. The candidates personal relationship with God, is between them and Jesus... however the policies we will live with on this planet until the ultimate end are very much based on whose positions wins. We have two choices 1) Trump strongly and openly supports the free practice of religion in America. 2) Harris has made it clear that Christians are the enemy and need to be controlled by the government. If you don't vote and Harris wins, the world will be a more hateful place toward anyone practicing religion . Until Jesus comes, what happens in this world is still based on people controlled by Satan as it has been for 6000 years. Jesus allowed us to make decisions on how the world runs until he returns. People, NOT God, have often made this world a hateful place. By not voting to stop it from happening again, you are complicit with the outcome and suffering of Christians

Two years have passed since we first watched that video. As we ponder the path ahead for the United States, we might find ourselves at a crossroads, questioning if this is the direction God has ordained for us. In the realm of politics, we often find ourselves confined to two sides-the good and the evil. Yet, the lines blur, and the question persists: who truly embodies the good? Our Christian walk has too often been passive, and it is this passivity that has led us to the state we find ourselves in today. James 2:26 reminds us, "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." Our faith must be active, living, and impactful. It is not enough to simply pray for our leaders; we must pray that they encounter Jesus in all their decisions and actions. If our leaders were to see Jesus in everything they do, perhaps our world would be a different place. Consider the world we live in today. We witness individuals advocating for terrorists, standing in solidarity with those who would condemn them for their very existence. We see politicians who have deceived the public with false narratives, denying the existence of a border crisis, only to acknowledge it two years later. This stark reality begs the question: are we called to be passive in our faith? Proverbs 18:13 tells us, "If one gives an answer before he hears, it is his folly and shame." It is our duty, as followers of Christ, to be discerning and proactive. God’s word urges us in 2 Timothy 2:15, "Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." This verse is a call to action-an invitation to engage with our faith, to work diligently, and to be well-versed in Scripture. When a political party seeks to dismantle the very foundations of biblical truth, it is not a time for passivity. We are called to stand firm, to be a voice for righteousness, and to act according to God’s word. Quoting Scripture alone does not make our stance right; it is the application of Scripture in our lives that guides our response. Let us reflect on the story of Esther, a woman who exemplified courage and resolve in the face of imminent danger. When Mordecai urged her to intervene on behalf of her people, he reminded her in Esther 4:14, "And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" Esther’s response was not passive; she took decisive action, fasting and praying, and ultimately speaking to the king, saving her people from destruction. In our time, we too are called for such a time as this. Let us not be passive in our faith, but let us work tirelessly, pray fervently, and stand boldly for the truth of God’s Word. May we be inspired by the example of Esther, and may our faith be a beacon of hope and transformation in a world that desperately needs it.

Around 2.5 months ago, I boarded a U2 train in Berlin at the Potsdamer Platz station. Someone started to sing Free Palestine songs on the train as it left the station. As a Christian, I ran off the train at the next station, and as the train had 2 portions of 4 carriages each, I ran back on the train at the other portion just as the doors were about to close. As I trust in Jesus, I shouldn't get involved with this, and the other portion of that train was really silent.

I'm agnostic and I agree with everything you've said. It's one for Christians to get involved in politics. And that's fine. But it becomes a problem with Christians allow their politics to do things that are not Christ-like and make other Christians look bad. If Christians want get involved in politics, they should be using it as a force for good. The problem is that there is a lot of disagreement over what constitutes as 'good'😔

Just a note. Daniel 2:21 states God removes & setteth up kings. It doesn't say he removes & setteth up EVERY KING. I'm under the impression that he does this when He wills to. Does God set up every king in every kingdom? I would believe that he setups up HIs Kings in HIs Kingdoms that are called by His name. Is this a reasonable alternative interpretation?
@adminsupport9980
@adminsupport9980 2 жыл бұрын
God has the power to install and depose kings. Daniel 2:20-21 teaches that God, as ultimate king, is not standing by wishing and hoping his will comes about. He can use good as well as bad people to accomplish his will in the world so that his highest good will ultimately take place. God has raised up wicked leaders in the past. Habakkuk 1:6 teaches that God raised up Babylon in order to discipline Israel for their sin. God allowed Pilate, who sanctioned the execution of Jesus, to accomplish his will of having Jesus die for the sin of the world (John 19:11). Every ruler is accountable to God for how he or she uses their authority. Isaiah 13:17-19 teaches that the Medo-Persian Empire would be raised up to destroy Babylon. Babylon was still held accountable for their excesses of violence - even though God granted them the power to exercise their strength over others in the first place. We can’t always know God’s purposes for leaders. Pilate and the leaders of the Jews who crucified Jesus were allowed to come into authority in Jerusalem, and it was they, in their evil behavior, who caused Jesus’s earthly death. We can’t understand God’s will without having a divine perspective (Romans 11:33-34). But we can trust that ultimately, everything will align with God’s purpose and plans in the world - and they are plans for ultimate good.

When I was younger I had the impression that my family wanted me to take an interest in Politics. But even at the local level there can be a lot of corruption and dishonesty and so far as I can tell even if you are innocent if you try to mess with the established order and run for public office there are people who will harass you. Apparently Roman Catholics were organizing where I lived when I was growing up and basically they were willing to destroy my Christian values and basically force me to accept Roman Catholic values if I wanted to get involved in local Political activities. There are communities within 100 miles of where I live that are probably run by people of my faith and probably politics is the same everywhere... you have to learn where you are welcome and where you are not and even, perhaps, if you are welcome anywhere. I ran for public office when my parents and grandparents were alive and I did it to make them happy but I know that running for office takes a lot of work, a lot of luck, a lot of hard study and strategy and even with all that going for you there is still a chance you might lose. There could be nothing better for your life if you won an election and were able to simply keep your city, county or state running smoothly but there could be nothing worse if you faced constant harassment and hatred because local officials did not want you around. I suggest you respond carefully and thoughtfully and realize that I don't know everything. I lost. I accept this but the Winners were much worse as winners ... I accepted losing with dignity and grace because I always knew it was a possibility. For me and my family, I did what I could and I accept who I am and what was necessary. For me, nothing that I understand has changed materially to change the outcome of any election were I to run again. Basically, why should a loser bother the public by running time and time again only to lose? I did some research in College on Economic Democracy and all but given the reality that in any organization where there are open elections, there is a strong probability that "outsiders" often lose. And let's say I got involved with a Party Organization. I've been around Republicans all my life so maybe I'd decide to get involved with Republicans. There are a couple of candidates for President running as republicans at the present time. One is endorsing candidates for state and other offices and might be re-elected as President. But something could happen and maybe another candidate would represent Republicans. I have been around politics and there is little worse than having some person win an election only to appoint you... well, I was rewarded by being coerced to be an unpaid manager for a Concession Stand. Basically the Candidate did not want me around and thought I was worthless. The whole effort was a waste of my time and a punishment. Your enemies can be very, very afraid that you might succeed and will do any and everything to make sure you fail and that is a simple reality. And who knows, maybe it's my fault. At the end of the day I have to accept the blame for my own failure and I cannot rely on blaming everyone else. And quite honestly, I was in contact with a relative with the same religious background as myself and he was talking about a weekend he spent with some Roman Catholic Relatives. But I simply do not know why Roman Catholics hate me when I am absolutely no threat to them whatsoever. I am simply not open to changing religions. This is a weird side-issue but I suppose they have to be selective in choosing who they hate. As far as my political interest in concerned I take care of myself and like I have said, I ran for political office when my family was around so they could participate in the campaign and such. I guess having an enemy - even an enemy totaling over a billion people worldwide is something I have to accept and embrace. I still believe God is on my side anyway.

I agree with the first 2 points wholeheartedly. The 3rd one is odd. The Bible isn't a political textbook, it says very little about how a government should act, at least outside of theocracy/theocratic monarchy. So expecting a Bible verse to support every policy position is a flawed standard. Sure political liberals can use verses to support welfare by applying commands given to individual Christians and the church to the government, but then those same standards would support making sexual sins illegal. I don't believe the Bible teaches that Christians should attempt to establish a theocratic government. I feel like that is akin to saying Christians need a Bible verse to support their every standard of care in medical practice. The Bible doesn't teach medicine, just as it doesn't teach government.

I'm sorry. But this didn't actually help me. Both sides can easily point to any scripture and use that to bolster their own viewpoints on it, even if the scripture in question is the exact same one that seemingly gives a clear cut answer. And any supposed Christian group that uses a political filter through which the scriptures are viewed is clearly letting politics win. But neither side will admit to that failing and will instead double down on their respective opinions and make everyone else simply agree with them by using the scriptures as a battering ram. And where is God when those of us who are being manipulated into seeing either side's view need actual clarity and to not be burdened with guilt over seeing where both sides gave allowed and welcomed themselves to being corrupted? I know the scriptures say that b3ing a Christian isn't easy. But we should find rest among our fellow believers instead of even more vehement division...

I'm also skeptical of the two party system. Being a Conservative and Republican doesn't automatically make one a Christian. Conservatism is a philosophy and an idea not a religion. Saying "Jesus is my King and Trump is my president" is like saying "Jesus is my King Cornflakes is my cereal" lol😂😂. My point is that if you like Trump or Kamala, that's great. You do you. But please be careful about tying your preferences including political preferences to your Christian identity. I think most people including Christians should ditch the two parties and vote third way. The whole system is rigged. And the two parties only exist not to benefit Christians, but the big corporate elites.

#krystalk4873 Yes, for Jesus has told us we are the salt and light of the world, those of Christ, filled with the Holy Spirit, can make an impact for the Will of the One on the Throne, he will make our paths straight for we follow the one whose path is straight. God establishes leaders, both those who are after his heart or against his heart, that his Will may be done on the Earth, as it is done in heaven. God pulls down leaders when he deems right, however he deems necessary.

My wife tried to guilt trip me into voting, because a law could be placed to legalize things that are immoral, i said to her " God will have his vengeance, we as Christians should just be living examples, be kind, show generosity, our country doesn't need politics leading, we need Jesus. I'm not sure my vote changes someone from doing something that goes against God's laws, instead we be the example and pray for ours!

In Belgium we have mandatory voting because low turnout favorises the extremes. Who will be the first people in line at the polls ? Those who’ve been waiting to vote for years. Mandatory voting forces normal people to counter the weirdos and not get an unwanted presidency. If you don’t like a certain political climate, voting is the best thing you can do. Apathy is what the other side wants.

My parents weren't opposed to Christian laity being "involved" in politics and I'm not opposed to Christian laity being involved in politics but I still don't know whether I agree with this video because the teaching is that we have an obligation to discern between right and wrong but fails to specify whether, when we think we know the difference between right and wrong, we should use the political process to impose our concept(s) of morality on others.

#rogermetzger God will put those he chooses into positions and places of power for his Will. Whoever follows after Christ, who God called and raised up, is to lead as God leads him or her; and he or she is to seek God daily and to do swiftly what he commands of them. Did not God say about David that "He is a man after my own heart", that he was raised up as a king of Isreal, which is Gods choosen nation from the Earth where the Messiah would come? Did God not establish leaders over the true Church? Paul led after Gods own heart establishing Churches and leading many too Christ, God kept him humble with a thorn in his flesh, so he would not become proud. Did God not establish the high rankings of the Holy angels, and even of the Fallen angels? Lucifer, whos pride led him to rebel. Michael the Archangel, the Principality of Isreal, does he not humble himself before God even when he could come and rule any nation (if not all of them), yet he bows his knee to Christ who is God (Where Jesus is both entirely God the Son and entirely Human, at the same time.)?

Evangelicals who still support Trump/Vance after all the lies, fear mongering of immigrants, and divisive rhetoric could not know Jesus and his message. Jesus never used lies, fear, and deceit to persuade people. Even if you believe that you're standing on biblical principle against abortion or gay rights, Jesus (GOD) never took away a person's ability to choose. How can ReTrumpians in congress and the supreme court do what Jesus never did? Sadly, these same self-righteous and self-proclaimed Christ followers never share the true Gospel; not to their neighbor, stranger on the street, or immigrant. They would rather hide behind their office and cower to Trump who doesn't display any of the characteristics of a Believer.
