Unfortunately, not all of us were financially literate early. I was 35 when I finally educated myself and started taking steps. I went from $176,000 in debt with zero savings or retirement to now, 2 years later, fully debt-free and over $1000,000 net worth. I know that doesn't SOUND like a lot, but I'm incredibly proud of it. Now I'm fast-tracking my wealth building (investing $400,000 annually) and don't owe a dime to anyone. It's a good feeling!

At the age of 27, I recently opened an ROTH IRA and made the full commitment possible for 2024. How long it took me to straighten out my life makes me feel terrible. How to invest the money to grow for retirement is the issue here

You're 27. It's ok. Time for compounding interest. I believe every Investor should start with ETFs for a solid foundation, then diversify across asset classes and maintain disciplined, regular investing to minimize risks and maximize growth
@OscarOwennАй бұрын
You do not need to locate the next NVDA to be successful in investing. Simply choose top tier ETFs and work with a financial counselor, as I did. I turned $90,000 into $53,000 in annual dividends, which is a huge accomplishment for me today

I looked at the election in the USA 100 times and the big lesson I learned was. Harris focused on Channels of Marketing (TV, AFFILIATES, SURROGATES, EVENTS) and in the End Donald Trump Focused on MESSAGE. It was such a lesson that Marketing MESSAGE is more powerful than marketing channels. Its a brilliant lesson for small businesses because many people think they cannot compete with big companies because those companies will have a better marketing budget but money is not that much of a factor in MARKETING MESSAGING. The Harris campaign said the biggest advert that hit them was an ad that said HARRIS is for THEY/THEM and TRUMP IS FOR YOU and at the end he used RONALD REAGANS FAMOUS: Are you better off than you were 4 years ago. No matter what those messages really resonated and no amount of expenditure can overpower a superior message.
@CJ_536Ай бұрын
Additionally, the DNC completely misread the marketing landscape. TV and traditional media has been on the decline for a LONG time. Trump marketed. He marketed by sitting down with podcasters who have large audiences across both sides of the political aisle. He showed us who he was, talking for hours at a time. Marketing matters. Message matters. But it is pointless to market in a location the audience left a long time ago.

19:31 The "disconnect" exists because markets value companies based on future potential, brand, and intangibles-not just what’s on the balance sheet. Microsoft’s market cap reflects its ability to dominate markets for years to come

The Power of Intangible Assets Companies like Microsoft thrive on intellectual capital, software, and AI dominance-all high-margin and scalable globally. A mineral-rich country like South Africa, by contrast, relies on finite resources, infrastructure costs, and fluctuating commodity prices.💔💔💔

Africa's economy is far greater than it's currently quoted. The continent's economy should be at least 50 times its current value if the same economic activities are measured equally in the continent as in the USA, whose currency - $USD, is used to measure GDP across the continent. For example, it would cost about $83 billion for 115 million men to get haircuts in a year in the USA. It will cost N1.8 trillion for 75 million men in Nigeria to get haircuts in a year. When converted to the $USD, the value becomes $1 billion which greatly understates the same level of economic activities that should be worth about $54 billion if carried out in the USA.

Value: A value refers to a principle or standard that individuals or societies hold as important, guiding their behaviors, decisions, and interactions. Values are deeply rooted in cultural, personal, or societal contexts and influence priorities and actions. Examples of Values: Honesty Freedom Equality Compassion Values are often personal and can differ widely between individuals or groups. For instance, some may prioritize family over career, while others might value independence or material success. Ideology: An ideology is a system of beliefs, ideas, or doctrines that provides a framework for understanding the world and shaping political, social, or cultural practices. Ideologies are often collective and shared within a group, influencing broader societal structures. Examples of Ideologies: Capitalism Socialism Feminism Environmentalism Ideologies encompass a set of interconnected values and principles. For instance, the ideology of environmentalism might prioritize values like sustainability, conservation, and harmony with nature. In summary, values are the building blocks of ideologies. For instance, the value of equality is a cornerstone of the ideology of socialism.

22:48 there is a conflation here of GDP and resource value. GDP is the total sum of goods and services produced by an economy in a given period (usually a year). This is not the same as all the assets and resources above and below the ground. So yes, NVIDIAs market cap can be equal to or even greater than Africas GDP. But it is not worth more than Africas resources and assets.

I think we are getting it all wrong as far as value is concerned. The value of a product or anything generally is not a function of the effort and resources put in place to create t. It is how much people are ready to pay to obtain that product. Just like the saying, the beauty of a person depends on the eyes of the viewer. Now we have a set of institutions, whom have given an apparent value to a product, and which have all convinced us to accept. That's the reason why a share can be worth 100 dollars today and worth 10 tomorrow. The same way a car can be bought today at 10000 dollars by someone who is interested, and the next day bought at 2000. To make it simple, value is 50 percent emotions, 50 percent cost of production
