Suzuki may not be the first name that pops in your mind when you're shopping for a cruiser, but if you want something with awesome looks and class leading performance, you absolutely have to check out the Suzuki Boulevard M109R. It's the kind of bike that you just can't find anymore, and it's special! Check it out at Maclean's Sports here: www.macleanssports.com

Really nice. I like that a lot, and I think for an older guy like me (72) who no longer can feel comfortable on a sport touring bike because of the bend in the legs, that M109R could be perfect.

I went with this Bike! I'm 50yrs old. It rides amazing and has all the giddy up, anyone would ever need. Took me a little bit figuring out how to turn it when going slow. The forward pegs make it a little different turning the monster. But once you ride it for awhile. It comes naturally, throwing your weight into it. It's fun it's big, and it will blow most sports bikes away!

@@antownemercer7552 It is a heavy bike but once your moving handles pretty good., you need to learn how to manage first gear., basically first gear is just to start moving and the second gear is the one to get you up to speed. when i make a full stop in traffic lights or stop signs, I stop in second gear then put it on neutral. I read a lot of comments about first gear on this bike, I guess is the way it was design.

Got my second one last year after a Mazda 3 decided to play dodgem cars with my 2010 model. Mine has upgraded air filter, exhaust and dyno tune which added an extra 10 hp and ft/lbs, with 100ft/lbs from idle making more than enough power for anything close to legal speeds. Along with the Japanese reliability, it annoys my HD mates how much attention it gets whenever stopped somewhere.

Rode one from a friend, make no mistake, it is essentially a sportsbike that looks like a cruiser. You twist the right hand and it will leave behind all those legends that shake when you corner at 70+ mph. This tank will take you pretty far if you just enjoy the inertia of this huge engine. Comfort-wise it is crap like pretty much any cruiser with forward controls, so avoid bumpy roads or your lower back will be busted. Of course you can travel with this thing, just strap a backpack to the passenger seat or buy a bagger instead of spoiling it with a lame barbecue grill or saddlebags. Don't drop it, I checked the parts that normally break and they are not cheap.

Very nice bike. Are there aftermarket bags to make it into a bagger? Whatbis life expectancy? Can one expect to drive it till 300KKm before revuild?
@PeterLoweOne
@PeterLoweOne 5 ай бұрын
I'm sure the aftermarket would have plenty of bag options for this bike. What I don't have is any reliable information on how long any new vehicle will last. I study the information that's available for these bikes and nobody published any new vehicles life expectancy. 300,000 kilometers is a LOT for a motorcycle. I wouldn't expect your rear end to last on a single bike that long, forget about the bike lasting that long. 🙂 Have a chat with some owners, see what they have to say.

I definitely like to chime in on this. I owned one. I owned a Hayabusa before this but I understood what I was buying but the part of this bike I hated the most was the shudder in between shifts that still continues to this day. It isn’t that powerful the Harley vrod smoked this. The other part it need another gear. It was a decent bike but you need to tune to have smooth power and considering Suzuki hasn’t corrected the shudder into 2024 with the 1800 it will jar your filling lose. Most definitely test ride one before you buy one.

Hey, Im getting my motorbike lisense but I need a bike to learn on and keep as my daily in the summer. I'm 6 foot 4 inches and weigh about 300 lbs. I'm 20 year old guy, but I'm not looking for something to speed on. I'm just looking for a comfortable bike without exseccive power. Please recommend me a bike. I live in Canada Bc. I'm thinking of getting a new bike only Thanks. Forgot to mention, I love the look of harley and the honda Rebel 300. I had a seat on the rebel 500,1100 and the Vulcan s and the 900. All were a little too small. The vulcan 900 was good, but I need something a little bigger. I'm not sure what else to look at. I'm buying new only, used market has screwed me over too many times before. Budget is around 10 to 12k Cad. Any other recommendations?

It's tough for me to recommend a bike for someone just based on a KZbin comment. You mentioned several bikes that you've tried but they each have a reason that you don't like them. I would say come up with a list of things that you want on a bike, and narrow the list down by cutting off things you don't need. No matter who you are, whether you're a new rider or an experienced veteran, choosing a motorcycle is going to be a compromise. So it sounds like you're looking at a lot of bikes. Try to find a few things that you like about one or two and see if there's anything else in that class for you to consider. That's the best way to help yourself with choosing. Finally, I see you posted the exact same comment 5 or 6 times on various videos. I'm hoping that you took the time to watch all the videos that you copied and pasted these comments into? Some will give you answers to the questions that you're asking. But there's no need to comment multiple times. I do my best to get to as many of the comments that I can. 👍

Just bought a new '23 black HD Low Rider S. The M109R is definitely cool and most likely a better all around bike, but the LRS is visually even cooler. Women love this bike. The sound with a TBR Turnout is wild. My neighbors aren't too thrilled. The 1923cc engine is definitely a blast. The LRS is about 660 lbs, with lighter pipe and the 109 is a hundred pounds more, WOW! Do love Suzukis tho, especially VStroms.

I've been dating this beauty for around 12 years. The problem is she doesn't know that yet, so you can't say I'm stringing her along. I'm really afraid about this commitment, so I've been admiring from a distance. I love the look of Hayabusa, but it's easy to see she is trouble. On the other hand, the cruisers attract me a lot because of their experience and maturity, but I want a little more than a cauch and a film. A bit of spice would be cool! So this bike looks perfect to me, like one mix of the two worlds. Now comes the interesting part... I'm getting old, and in all these years, I never had the courage to take one of these ladies to dance! Sad thing, I know! But it's true. And I'm mean none of these ladies. I haven't taken my license yet, so looking is all I can do for now. But, I'm good, because it's only a matter of time. The moment is close, I can feel it! I'm getting confident enough to finally open my heart to her and live this love story! Wish me luck!

Big engined bikes like this battle with new emissions regulations across the world. It's not like you can use this engine in 5 high volume bikes. I think they feel that any money spent in re-engineeriing a bike like this may not return the same profit as focusing on higher volume models.

@PeterLoweOne 6 ай бұрын
I don't think it needs a sixth year. That's an argument that you make on something with half the horsepower of this bike. Updates would be nice, but like I mention in the video, in a world where SUV's are having to have less displacement than this motorcycle, the engineering costs of tweaking this bike probably won't pay off in worldwide sales. This thing isn't going to be produced forever, so if people like it, buy it before it's gone for good.
@AyaWetts
@AyaWetts 6 ай бұрын
@@PeterLoweOne It would be nice to keep the RPMs down for interstate speeds, while still having a good 1-5 for other times. This bike could easily be made into a good bike for longer trips. One like on the Vulcan Voyager/Vaquero, that 6th gear drops so low its really good for 70+. Companies are letting good cruisers like this die out though, so not sure if its a supply or demand thing.
@PeterLoweOne
@PeterLoweOne 6 ай бұрын
@@AyaWetts I think you're forgetting that a 6th gear would probably be the same ratio as what 5th gear is now. It doesn't rev high at highway speeds as is, and a taller gear would likely require more speed, instead of delivering lower revs. I hear what you're saying, but this engine isn't like other engines in the class. It's got considerably more power.
