The System is an American synthpop duo consisting of vocalist/guitarist Mic Murphy and seasoned session keyboardist David Frank. The band was founded in 1982 in New York and backed up by Paul Pesco on electric guitar and Kris Khellow - keyboards, synthesizers. Sometimes the group is referred to as an "emotio-electro" band because of their hi-tech, synthesizer-driven sound mated to passionate vocals and sensitive lyrics.

And the System was playing LIVE in the CLUBS around Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Mic Murphy had the girls going CRAZY(look up the earliest videos, in his prime he made Michael Jackson look like a bad joke) ... The 100 club, Crackers, Royalty and Hammersmith Palais Sunday night ('79 - '82) to name but a few. 64 now but 22 when The System dropped their Awesome tracks plus Slave, Cameo, The Barkays, Brass Construction, Ohio Players and the Main Man Rick James and the Stone City Band ( Both from Buffalo, NY state.) Great times, great dancin', great friends and great funk tunes from All those mentioned above.
