Lots of tools will ignore this guy because of his job as a Democratic Senator. The same would be true if he were a Republican Senator. As with anybody who had reached this level of success in any field, I recommend listening to what he says. Look for the gems of wisdom. Toss the garbage. Everybody has hard earned wisdom, regardless of profession. I like that he began with the problem of screen-time to connections between people. It truly has made so many of us into tools. Look at the comments so far by amateur political hacks. If they can't hear anything of value because of this guy's job, well that speaks to the truth of his first point about screen-time and their distorted, unhealthy psyches.

Both of you are so humble, yet spot on with where we are in this county. But both of you are truly giants in the quest to bring equmimity to our entire culture; not just in the arena of food and health, but also in our culture of injustice and prejudices. I love everything that Rich does, and now I am going to listen to Sen Booker more closely than ever before. I'm going to be relistening to this podast over and over. Cory, I have never voted party and registered as an Independent in the 70's. But I'm supporting you. I absolutely love who you are and how you practice what you preach the best you humanly can. Thank you for bringing such integrity to a very tricky job, but one that we al must do: build bridges. I didn't realize that about the disparity in subsidizing certain foods. Your efforts are so important. From now on I'm asking my senators and representatives if they've taken the pledge to forego large corporate support if it means skewing priorities for creating a better place for us all to live. My heart goes out to you for stepping up to the plate and waging this "war of love" so to speak on us citizens . Thank you thank you thank you. Rich has opened my eyes to the fact that there is a sea surge out there of people who think the way I do and pray about things. I didn't know super intelligent people thought the way I do, because I'm what John Lennon called "a dreamer", but I'm not the only one! You are and Rich and other high-integrity type people are dreaming of the "castles" in the air -- ie: visions of being better together-- AND building the roads up to meet the castle! Bravo.

Truth is that only way healthy food and clean water becomes a protected Right in the USA is When the Government has to Foot the Bill for the Health of the citizens. Until that happens, government won't care. When they have to foot the bill for the consequences of poor food and unclean water, then they will make sure the food is nutritious and not just for profit.

Thank you for this podcast @RichRoll A topic close to my heart & I’ve been mentioning to people for decades! It needs to be a global initiative for all governments, countries & suppliers around the globe. But reason why it’s never been addressed because fast food makes too much money & the globalisation of fast food chains means they can make even more money! The health industry need to overhaul the BMI table, it was designed in the 1950’s by a statistician and in todays world, body builders can be classified as obese which is ridiculous! The fashion industry need to make sizes GLOBALLY consistent across every country, seriously Size Zero is for a baby not a grown woman! The food industry need to STOP making junk food cheaper & more accessible than healthy food! They also need to STOP adding sugar to everything! Seriously bread has never been the same since Global Bakery brands started adding sugar to regular bread! The education curriculums need to educate our kids from an early age about what is good food to eat every day food and what is a treat when it’s a special occasion so they develop better eating habits and not crave sugar! But while food companies & big pharma can continue to make millions off of obesity, diabetes, heart disease, gastric bands, etc, etc it’s just going to be an ongoing endless vicious cycle 😢 Promote healthy eating People! Promote Healthy lifestyle people!!! Be healthy! Live healthy! Save your children from obesity & sugar addiction 🙏

I'm 13 minutes into this and it is very clear that you two speak the same language. Cory Booker is a great advocate for intersectionalism, giving voice to the similarities of injustices that overlap because injustice is injustice regardless of whom suffers because of it. He's courageous, passionate, and such a powerful example of the strength of male sensitivity. Glad he's spoken with Zach Bush! I'm so glad you're doing the damn thing, Senator Booker. Thank you for being a vital presence in our political body. You would've made a hell of a president, but like Bernie, you don't have to be president to be a boss and a total hero. Long live the bromance! Love and respect for you both.

Half the voices need to be women’s. Half the leaders need to be women. It is critical to the survival of our species the planet. Maybe for awhile we should have a majority of women.

The issue here is not that he's a politician, its that he has an extensive history of virtue-signaling and other performative actions. He does a whole lot just for show, which is a good sign someone has little substance, or is very manipulative. He's also known for asking idiotic/asinine questions, which is either for show, or speaks to his lack of intellect. You genuinely have to be biased or ignorant to welcome this man in for an interview. No matter what he has to say in this interview, we know what he will do on camera when its showtime...

But Cory, we all want healthier food, and better treatment for the animals and the environment. But the questions is how to affect these positive changes without increasing our already for far too many exorbitant food costs? And on the question of illegal immigrant farm workers, I'd love for them to paid a fair wage, and of course for them to be legal residents, but I don't want to pay 8 dollars for an orange either. Here's a suggestion: It's time to take a serious look at exactly which foods we subsidize, e.g., the big three, corn, wheat and soy, and exactly who is reaping the most benefit.

Ok so here in super fat fat full of the 🐑 lamb Houston Texas we r so much more further out then just choosing an apple an orange or an egg McMuffin....to know diabetes and to understand stroke and to feel heart palpitations is to tangibly need a better diet and healthier eating habits....

I wish Mr. Booker would run for President again. Though maybe he can actually help more people in the position he currently holds. 🙏❤️🥰

The United States is a corporation. It's about money and human farming. Are you really going to get rid of capitalism? One good senator isn't going to make a dent. All the industrial complexes are designed to capitalize.

I'm a fan of Cory but I feel like you gave the politician a bit too much air-time to say a whole lot of nothing.
