Sound treating is such a tedious process but probably one of the most overlooked things in a build. I took all the interior out of my 21 Elantra and used 80 mil first then a 157 mil closed cell over the top. Made a huge difference in road noise. My next step is to take out the fender liners and do under that to further reduce road noise. Great upload as always Parker!

alright man you doing mechanic work is something I want to see. I thought about doing this exact vehicle myself but I think I would enjoy watching you do it even more. If there is anything I can to help you out. Just give me a shout. Im definitely here for this build bro...

As always great content video audio lessons advice tutorial demonstration editing execution & humbleness..... Cheap diy pro tip Layout your sound deadener, cover with a large clear transparent plastic box, plug in a heater inside box, deadner will soften up & melt into floor pan finish with roller ( Rolling pin or skate trucks ) 🚗 🔊💨💨💨💨

Would put 2nd silencer/muffler in the end of the pipe, only one might be still little loud if theres some spare money.

I’m building a wall in my Tahoe and it’s the same body style. I’m cramming 8 18s in it. I’ve cut the side part of the ceiling out to maximize space. Also make sure you do a steel cage so you can get the most room!

I think before you put all your subs in, you should buy some cheep super budget subs to put in the box to conduct db test's. Show how efficient the box is.
That's a dope idea brother I'm dying to see exactly how it would do it would probably bang.... killer freaking idea!

Hell yeah! Any chance you’d ever check out the DTX Dreamsicle series? Seems like a great sub but not a lot of content out there for builds with it. Anyway, keep up the great work man!

Hey Parker, I know Alphard Audio sponsors your channel, but how about doing a Down4sound build using the New DVX 12s and some jp amps like some jp63s ,and a couple of 10.4 4 channels and all jfx components that would be AWESOME HUH!!!!! JIST A SUGGESTION. KEEP BASSIN ON!! LOL.

That’s crazy to use that deadener I’ve used the mat66 and it is trash when I compared it to sky high along with performance it’s just way more user friendly. Especially on a wall build a few extra bucks would make a difference! Average user it would suffice but I don’t think that’s you lol

I would have kept the carpet and cleaned it and put it back in to cover the sound dampening on the floor

For a wall build if you are building into the vehicle wouldnt you want the wood to adhere directly to the metal?

Putting that muffler on cost you free db's. Who knows maybe your scores could be every so slightly higher because of it.

Parker you really need to learn your numbers for car audio. The 80 mil of deadener is actually 0.080 inches or 2.032 mm, it is not 80 mm as you stated in the video.
