Violet's Tale did pretty much the same to me ! He wrote it quite some time after releasing Jenny's Tale and then Screech's Tale. The performance art is brilliant. Ren is very hands-on with direction and works a lot with Sam Perry-Falvey on music videos. Ren doesn't read music - he learned to play guitar watching KZbin videos and watching the hand positions of his idols like John Frusciante (Red Hot Chilli Peppers). His unorthodox and unique sound and versatility has evolved free of the constraints of formal training. His main passion is cinematography/videography and performance over music. Really hope this reaches (adult) audiences on your other channel who maybe haven't yet subscribed !

Even though its only your second Ren reaction. You are so far easily my favorite newer reactor to Ren. I love how you watch them through first. To me part of what makes Ren so great is his ability to make you feel. I havnt gotten that from music 8n so long. But never like he has made me feel. A lot of Reactors do miss the full impact of his genius bc they are pausing etc. Ren feels his music and makes music to feel. You summed it up so brilliantly I have tried and tried to come up with an easy explanation of Ren. But Movement is perfect. Im going to borrow your term!!!😊 Love you from North Dakota

Great reaction. You'll be pleased to know Ren does have a few less emotional songs which are just a bit of fun. Not all of them kick you in the head until you're an emotional wreck! They're all absolute works of art though! Jenny and Screech was written after Ren read a news article about a young lad stabbing someone to death and he was moved to create something to address the knife crime problem and we got this absolute masterpiece! For something else to make you cry I recommend Dominoes - Although there's only a lyric video for that one. If you like Rap I suggest the hunger. For a vocal showcase check out the Back on 74/Message in a bottle covers (Single song, it's a mashup of the 2 songs). The Money game trilogy is a great depiction of the greed culture ruling our lives. Kujo beat down is fantastic, but I suggest not watching that unless you have watched Ren's video explaining the situation first or you will be very confused. Also Sick Boi - which is the song which started the whole controversy around the Kujo Beatdown song. I noticed you wondering who Samuel is that was mentioned at the start of Screech's tale - He's the cinematographer who has shot a lot of Ren's videos (Hi Ren, and all 3 of these included) and a big part of the reason these videos are so compelling. If it's a Ren and Sam video you know it's going to be special!

It's so great to see someone react the same way I did to Ren's music!! There are so many people who, for instance, just skim right over things I find absolutely genius like Ren using the guitar for the gunshots, but you did that exact hands-on-head reaction I did when I first saw it, lol. It's both painful and cathartic to be a highly emotional person and watch his videos, but every one of them is worth it. Also I absolutely love that you're watching them straight through and then talking about them at the end, because they have such a momentum that gets lost when reactors keep pausing and rewinding them. I watch and enjoy those reactions as well, but it's great to finally see someone take this approach instead. Greetings from central Canada, new subscriber here, an old bloke who's been around live music for the whole half-century I've been on this planet. I too have recently been introduced to Ren and am also blown away. I've seen a lot, and I mean a LOT, of music in my life, basically growing up around music festivals and the like, but Ren is a one of a kind, nevermind once in a generation, once in the species of humanity kind of musician. I'm looking forward to going further down the rabbithole with you! FWIW, I am trying to (re) learn guitar (haven't played in 20+ years, and now have early onset parkinson symptoms making it difficult, nonetheless i persist), anyways, Ren plays in 'Drop D', you might've noticed, and as you've commented on his atypical style, he's self-taught, so that's probably why his style is so unique. I imagine I may develop some unique styles as well as I continue to try to drill the muscle memory back into my now quirky fingers. If you feel like taking a brief break from the Renniverse, and like watching incredible guitar talent, may I humbly suggest to check out the video of Tina S playing Moonlight Sonata on electric guitar. The video is almost ten years old now, and she's now lead guitarist in a metal band :)

Note how REN used the ambiance and architecture of that stairwell to emphasize the line “she never had a chance”. The echo and that crooked spiral combining like a prayerful lament. So evocative, so moving. And you’re right, that ending in Violet’s Tale is painful. He’s a master of using what’s around and present to corroborate his vision and intent, like the use of the guitar like a gun and then simply rotating the camera 90* to embody the perspective of Screech. Genius

Definitely Brighton....All live. After Jenny - OMG that was intense - RENegades nod knowingly and say "just wait". Mate please note that we have seen RENactors have to literally go offline and comeback to finish. We all want to hug you now and have you feel the love. The realization of the twins hits us all EVERY TIME. Generational Trauma is never easy. Jenny & Violet - Silent - Screech & Stevie - Violent - Jenny's tale was inspired by a news story that Ren read in a police blotter. The Tales took 3 years to complete. There are bridges between the tales on the streaming services that add another layer to the Tales. Ren music is beautiful and ALWAYS makes you think long after you have heard the song. This is why we love him so. In the lead up to Screech's Tale, Ren did some IG Reels on Screech's backstory. It gives you a bit of insight into why Patrick and the GF may not have had time for Screech. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eHqmp413iJZ5iJI - Recently a fan did Richard's Tale from the police officer's perspective, it's very good. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ioPdZKuEqaZ2ja8. He's an amazingly self-taught musician. Ren is a Welsh Bard/Minstrel. You can see him putting on the minstrel's mask with each tale. Violet's Tale being the most visible with the shoulder reset. This was filmed in a residential area and yes they did get a couple of STFUs in some of the takes. Who is Violet is the most asked question. Brain Squeeze Reactions made merch for charity that said "Who TF is Violet?" which was his first reaction to her. Please know that ALL of Ren is NOT like this. We start you with trauma and dark so that we can take you into the light. Recommend some Love Music, Parts 1-4 to palate cleanse your brain. They are fun, upbeat and a lyrical good time.

A classic tale of generational violence...London happens to be the place in this story (filmed in Brighton, you are correct, with his friend Samuel Palvey) but I've not heard confirmation from Ren or his community page that this is a factual story but WE KNOW and many of us have LIVED similar stories (HUGS)..I believe Ren has the tremendous skill of feeling the pulse of society at large and in particular, the underbelly of it. He's simply magnificent in my view. He touches on MANY genres in his music catalog and there's a bit of something for everyone. Enjoy! New sub.

My brother lives in Brighton and I have spent at of time there, that's where I got the vibe from. He is an amazing story teller and I can not wait to keep going down the rabbit hole

Jennys tale was prompted by a newspaper story and people saying its such a shame then a few months later came Screeches tale then it was nearly 2 years later he released Violets tale tying it all together. Masterpiece.

Theres a brand new song dropping tomorrow at 7pm. Its the first song off the new album that he recorded before his health dip recently.

Violets tale gets me everytime. It was released a few years after screech’s tale. So many important topics touched on in this. Especially topics that are hidden and dark secrets.
