@Aliyan ✪ there’s a lot of misinformation in that reply. 1948 they founded the state of Israel with international recognition. It was bigger than projected as they were attacked and they defeated their attackers and claimed land under internationally excepted rights as a victor. 1967 again another expansion after being attacked. External non Israeli forces colluded and tried to destroy Israel yet one small country stood up to an attack from all sides. At this time Palestine had no land they were under control by Jordan and were effectively just an extension of Jordan. You should read how Jordan is on Palestina land. In 2000 they actual gave up the land in Gaza so that goes against your statement. Sheikh jarrah is a small neighbourhood in Jerusalem and the dispute is over a few houses that belonged to Jews 100 years ago, but in 48 they went to Jordan. Then after back to Israel after the war.

AFAIK Taiwan doesn't stop its citizens leaving for China, except maybe in extreme cases like someone awaiting trial, etc. Taiwan is a de facto independent country so in normal circumstances Taiwanese nationals would need a passport to travel abroad anyway, and the 'travel pass' is just a compromise with China because the PRC wouldn't stamp a passport issued by one of its so-called provinces (HK and Macao passports are different because that question has been resolved by law). 2 Things I wanna mention. 1. The Taliban Flag is literally just a shahada, which is a completely harmless phrase used by muslims all over the world. it means "There is no god except Allah and Muhammad is his Messenger" the fact that you call this flag lovely in a sarcastic sense is not insulting towards the taliban but to the entire muslim community as there is literally nothing about it that makes it exclusive to the taliban. 2. You said we cannot have both opinions on "ughh america is only asserting their dominance as world police" and "oh where is america when we need them?" the thing is, this happened BECAUSE America played world police, they are not really good at doing it. Especially when it comes to basic human rights. America did all of these things in Afghanistan wheras they are best buds with Saudi Arabia despite the fact that that country is a Totalitarian Kingdom that often values human rights less than the Taliban do. It was never about democracry, freedom or basic rights, it was only about what the USA wants. That's not how "policing" works

America created the Taliban. You keep talking about how we don't want America to interfere overseas. This is what we mean. In trying to expand their influence, the Taliban was created. Lo and behold! 9/11! Who would have thought that funding religious extremists would end badly? Should America have pulled out? Of course, Americans can't keep sticking around to run a foreign nation. That being said, America didn't pull out in the interest of Afghans. They did so because they found it convenient to bugger off, without much care for what would happen in Afghanistan.

The taliban are crazed extremists, but they never had a problem with the US until the US involved themselves in their conflict. They have a bigger issue with Israel and with America backing off, I have no doubt in my mind that they will even try to trade with the US and increase friendly relations in an attempt to further legitimise their government. Not defending the taliban here, they stand against everything I personally believe in, but the US certainly put a target on themselves by getting involved in a complex conflict they knew very little about.
