In this video I'll give my take on the Talisman, The Voices that talk to Sara, and the Blood Symbols.

I think Victor is the lonely dragon, and Tabitha is the Cromenockle. The drawings of Victor are the map of the rainbow sky. Take a peek at Victors drawings, especially the one he did of the faraway trees- all connected by a rainbow…. But the map- is the collection of his drawings in order. Jade says “it’s like starting a story in the middle”. At one point Ethan says that they need to play the game of putting the drawings in order, when Julie brings the drawings back to the house after escaping through the faraway tree (being given the drawings by Victor- Victor says give these to Ethan, he will know what to do).

The talismans were a way to progress but instead of finding methods to safely explore further, everyone decided to just be content. Boyd was the only one, outside of Victor, actually trying to figure it out and even he decided to just exist. Now there's a fresh group of ppl who arnt burnt out, and the game is on. I wanna see jade and sarah interact, it hasn't been clear if he knows what she did.

Talisman were known to protect against evil spirits in the old stories I was told as a child. My grandfather was from Norwegian descent but travel as a young soldier before he met my grandmother. He was taught many stories and he had an old talisman in his room above his bed.

Maybe the Creatures really didn't ask to be like that, but they clearly enjoy it (just look at how Smiley grins, in the bus, when he realizes he can kill people : he grins while turning his back to them, because of the joy it would procure him - not because he tries to make them lower their guard to better approach victims who, anyway, don't have anywhere to go). If the Creature who killed Kevin washed the blood on her clothes, I don't think it's because of her lost humanity (if she ever used to be Human, that is) : It's so it would be easier to approach other victims in the house, before they all scream and run away. Also, every single night, they start the hunt with clean clothes. Even thought the disappearance of blood stains has yet to be explained, we might as well theorize that, to her, the 'real' hunt only begins when her 'friends' (the other Creatures) are already in position (inside the house or next to the main exits).

I just re-watched seasons one and two with a clear mind about this amazing show. My mind is now clear because I've previously watched it. As a result, I saw something in the credits not seem because. I think what I've seen in the credits explains the nature of the show. 1st let me state that I believe in the Native American curse theory! Now to what I've noticed: When the credits begin the 1st thing we see is the forest from above, then we see debris in the forest from above and smoke, then we see the same forest and the same debris at ground level but the debris is not within eyeshot, it's off in the distance, by design, you have to know the debris is there and look for it. My option is that a massacre occurred here and as a result, a curse was leveed against the town. I believe that the curse was designed to "transport Americans" into Fromville to be continuously tortured and killed and that that curse would remain intact until someone "solves" the puzzle", as Jade suggested and brings the massacre to light.

there are two symbols. I think one is of the tree with people crossing through it parallel and perpendicular to the tree line, meaning one way in/through. The second is of the lighthouse with two lines intersecting the lighthouse line meaning they can cross over and out.

The show runners have stated that each talisman is unique, with it's own symbols I think the talismans might match the number of buildings- one for each- with the Mathews' collapsed house going to the tour bus Randall was exiled to. Numbers are a big part of this little terrarium - season one sees twenty three total deaths (the drunk guy, his wife and kid, the nurse and Kenny's dad and Toby in the first episode, sixteen at Colony House plus Father Kathri in episode seven, then the guy that hung himself in episode eight). Between the Michaels family, Jade and the survivors of the tour bus, we get twenty three replacements (with one from the bus and the bartender balancing each other). At the end of season two, we've lost at least that one woman to the cicadas, so I guess we'll get someone new coming to town soon...

I was trying to explain my observation on the talisman and the runes, the "protection" can be found if you look up "bind runes" in my opinion the runes on the talisman are bind runes meaning stacked or multiple runes combined, the runes are not exactly the same but are very similar

I think the reason why there may be no Bible is because people probably grabbed it earlier on in the towns past. It's a book that most people are going to run to in a situation like this. So somebody misplacing it or being buried with it is totally possible

All the monsters are from the same time in history and probably by the looks the same as most of the town. They must have all been transformed into monsters at the same time. The church the bunker and caves and stone building in the woods are all from way earlier. It's like 3 layers of history.the civil war soldiers must be a echo of time before

The creators of the show kept referring to what Abby said when she went crazy is that when they die in fromland that they would wake up the boy in white could have lead Tabitha to another tree for a portal to the real world instead he pushed her out of a Window killing her then woke up in the real world maybe with amnesia but the boy said it was the only way just a theory 😅

2:37 it is notable that there is a "MOTEL" sign and typically hotels/motels always have a bible, dating back to as early as 1899, so if it did capture from the alt. universe at a point in time, it's still weird that the motel wasn't equipped with a bible

According to the writers the talismans are religious artifacts. If they were a piece of technology there wouldn't be any explanation as to why they stop working when someone let a creature in. There is some kind of magic, ritual or spell involved.

Magic is something we do not understand yet. If we were to go back in time to 100 AD, a cell phone would be magic to those inhabitants. They were there before, the multiple copies of the same book is from the people repeating. A different version of them didn't lose the bracelet, also the nurse drug addict gf isnt her version of the gf! Elgion, is another universe's son of tabitha! The old lady is definitely up to no good, she brings hope and hope feeds fear later on when it is taken! A power source, the light house is a conduit powered by fear, that power from, maybe a gateway but also its heart, the children dreams affect it somehow.

Google mesoamerican quatrefoil. It’s 4 interconnected circles like a 4 leaf clover. Represents the 4 cardinal points and the middle is where they intersect. It’s the axis Mundi or world tree. It’s a portal from this world to the next. The quatrefoil in their artwork is basically a cosmological map. It’s associated with the entrance to a cave. Underneath the pyramid of the sun is a cave and it’s 4 chambers and designed after the quatrefoil. Its associated with water rituals as well. Jade sees this symbol everywhere and when they go to the car to get the wire he shows off his Audi. The symbol has 4 rings. If you take the fromville symbol it’s a circle with other curved lines inside. It’s just other circles converging. Maybe since it’s in the roof of the cave in the roots it’s symbolizing a door way but also bringing in the light from above. Could symbolize a solar alignment or eclipse. Multiple circles converging in the opening of the roof. Plenty of lore has different moon phases or alignments as openings or portals. Check the old images from the mesoamerican art. It lines up to me. It’s just a different rendition. Also has the quatrefoil as the mouth of a serpent. That’s a constant in the show as some great beast of this underworld will make an appearance.

I think that much of the subplots & storyline from season 1 when the show was owned by Epix is different than season 2 under the ownership of MGM. I'd like to know if they actually know where this is all going. If LOST is any indication.... 🤦‍♂️

Jack Bender had director duties and John Griffin has had writer duties majority of season 1 and 2. The Teleplay role had been covered by John Griffin periodically so I'm sure everyone was given notes and guidance to go off of which is why we see less exposition and action and more conversation between characters that doesn't progress the plot forward but simply foreshadows and character develops. I believe they are looking to turn From into spinoffs like the Walking Dead and use the annoying millions of unsolved and unresolved mysteries to justify more seasons.

One thing I noticed is that most people that are there either experienced their best or worst moments in life shortly before they got there. And there are no bibles becasue this thing has nothing to do with Christianity but Norse or Native American mythology. Anoku is a Norse being of death and if the first date is in the 1500s there wouldnt be bibles anywhere in North America.

When this pocket dimension moves and collects different buildings, it also collects all the items inside them, so there should be at least one Bible in Fromville, even if this process of trapping people started before 1506, or the printing press was invented.

There are houses in Fromville, a diner, a bar, and a motel. Not every home in the world has had a bible. But majority of motels had one in a drawer. We don't know if Father Khatri checked every house, the motel, or the forest home, but it is implied that the people who come to Fromville don't have Bibles and that the forces that are there may be excluding buildings and people with them. The exclusion would include this town's motel. I think the point is that Father Khatri, in his religious madness, trusted Sara because he actually believed everything was part of some divine plan. Why wouldn’t the dimension pull in the actual building? Because it’s a sure thing that every motel room would contain a Bible. There is a clear motivation to keep that book out of this pocket dimension. What that motivation is exactly, I think we’ll find out.

My guess would be that Victor is one but hasn't revealed himself yet. Afterall, he said Fromville is his home and he hasn't been helpful in helping others to survive and thrive.

@@ParklinMedia What do you mean? He tried to warn them when he started digging their graves before the colony house attack. He helped Julie live, he helped Tabitha live and escape their den, and he's also been helping Ethan. He chooses to live in Colony house when he's got a truck he could go to. The Talismans don't affect him. He's outside during the day. Plus, he's not as old as the creatures. They clearly come from generations before him. He's either suffering from PTSD from being stranded there alone, or someone is purposely messing with his memory, but I wouldn't say that he's not helping them. He's just completely out of hope. He's given into the helplessness which is why he says that it's his home. It's acceptance of his fate. He's been there for decades (his entire adult life). Look at how people in prison react psychologically after that many years-- they become institutionalized. They will all likely be as hopeless if they have to spend decades there and watch everyone die, but they haven't had time to accept their fate yet. And even if he wasn't helping them, he might just think it's impossible anyway so he would be delaying the inevitable. I hardly doubt he's a monster. He does seem to be a pawn though.

I don't think not even one Bible means it's a work of Tetragrammaton, if anything I would suspect the opposite side's involvement. I do think it is a small but significant detail. Yin-Yang on the other hand is everywhere. Civil War soldier's face was a yinyang symbol, black and white chess, chess. Balance people vs monsters (the numbers seem to be very important), dreams vs nightmares, hope vs despair. Not all monsters are pure black/evil, not all humans are good/white. "No one here is free." NO ONE. Pocket dimension, yes. Symbols being the gates, yes. There is nothing to indicate multiverse and there is nothing (except Lost) to idicate time shenanigans, at least not as it was in lost, at least I hope they won't fuck it up with time, like they did in Lost. The Lighthouse is mechanical, so was the melody box, in fact melody box was more advanced, nowadays tech and the only time when "the place got angry" was when they were tampering with electromagnetic waves. Victor is the lonley one, "even though he walks among them, he is not one of them" and this is his home, so the dragon? He took Tabitha to the tree. I thought Julie would be the Cromenockle, but it turned out it's Tabitha and it was forshadowed in the first season a few times, which is easy to spot on the second rewatch. :P The most important things on a quest are items. The item Tabitha received from Victor is the clue what can happen in season 3.
