Saw this, found the first two episodes. First off, the orcs as characters are perfect. They are unmistakably Orcish, at least in my opinion. The dialogue definitely shows a high degree of intelligence not often associated with them which is refreshing. Sure, they are a bit barbaric, but obviously well rounded. The end of the second episode was the best. The gnome has a lot of fight in her. The language barrier definitely makes the whole story quite believable. Good job. Great animation. 10 out of 10.

My take on the next episode : pimkie is the daughter of the gnome King, he goes at war with the orcs to recover her, Borgo is forced to chose his side. A great Shakespeare story !

Holy crap, the subtitles are horrible on KZbin! I turned them on only temporary, to make sure I heard what I thought I heard! 0:13 “piercings from the disc a poker”. Yea no! It's kind of cringey how it's men treating a woman like a pet and basically trying to induce Stockholm syndrome. The animation skill is coming along well, no shade on that, it's just... You may want to talk to some feminists about the dynamics here.

The gnome character is based loosely on the live action AFK gnome Amy (IIRC) that you should watch. Amy's a fighter and a ball buster extraordinaire. She punches above her weight and is always down for a fight but in this series she got weakened by poison and her real dilemma is that she's not the kind to suffer captivity well. She's forced to temporarily adapt against character. In AFK, the bad-asses and buffoons come in both genders. In that, she's part comic relief and yet a serious foil for the wannabe chad and all who mess with her. Bolga is just a naively nice guy in a world where we see things from the orcs' view so, like every one, they think they're the good guys. I think the bite on the hand taught him a slow lesson. If anything there's a race dynamic if you wanna force a message onto it.

Maybe that was mistaken. Someone unfamiliar with the roles-turned-upside-down context could definitely see it as a cliche'd gendered Stockholm trope. I agree ick on that.
