Always liked Chevy. Everyone of us has our own path in life. Things we deal with that shape us one way or the other. We all have to deal with that. Sometimes successful sometimes not... Our responsibility. I think Chevy is a hella funny guy, and always left me busting a gut laughing. I truly hope for his sake and his family, he can keep things together. 🇺🇸⚔️🍕🍺❤️👍
@hunterburk2 ай бұрын
I never found him “gut busting”. Funny at moments sure. John Candy is an icon and a legend. Gut busting funny, and highly beloved by his comedy and acting piers. Chase is 7 levels below this legend.

His career is amazing, even if he made some wrong decisions and enemies along the way. I will watch Christmas Vacation and Caddyshack until the day i die, and laugh everytime. I hope he stays sober so he can live as long as possible and enjoy his family. We all love you Chevy!

Considering that alcoholism is a family disease, Chevy's mother may also have been an alcoholic. Her behavior sounds crazy enough.

Chevy Chase is a great star. He is the Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton and Lucille Ball of our day. We all age. Imagine the pressure and demand a championship athlete faces with age. The desire is always there. We should say "thank you" in admiration.

Chevy is a iconic Legend, his probably one of the last Funny dudes that really gave you a belly laugh, you know the one when you really can't stop laughing, to the point your guts are killing you in pain lol,,,I love all his movies from the 80's/90's,,,ive always and still do enjoy watching the best, good old fashion comedy, that you can't find anywhere else these days,,,,,today's comedy if it exists may only give a person a giggle if your lucky, and that's more for how stupid the comedy is,,,,you'll never find yourself rolling around the floor holding your guts, cos it hurts so much lol.,,,,these where the best days, so lucky to be one of them person's that grow up in that era, where laughs where a normal part of everyone's daily life,,,,,,Unfortunately not any more, we all have to be super careful these days, with this special generation, on what, when and how to laugh properly lol,,,,I reckon your best not to laugh any more, to be on the safe side of things, these day,,,,,,,Love ya Chevy,,,thanks heaps for the best days ever mate💪🕶🤜🏻🤛🏻🕶👍🏻Cheers

It seems like more and more professional actors are heading off to rehab centers. I guess what you see on tv isn't real.
@AtagoSKK8 ай бұрын
I don't care if he's a jerk, his work is excellent, and he is consistently funny. It's not like committed some unforgivable crime. Being abrasive or not playing nice isn't a sin. As viewers, that should have absolutely no influence in judging an actor. And this applies to other actors I would despise in real life. I don't care if the tech support is promiscuous or if the insurance salesman is charitable or if the driver in front of me is sexist or if the mailman is Republican or if the singer on the radio is divorced or whatever. Why does anyone? That must be exhausting and miserable. Or hypocritical, picking and choosing when to turn a blind eye. I enjoy Community as much as anyone, but the smear campaign after his departure still pisses me off.

I didn’t know he went through that type of childhood trauma / abuse, I hope he has God The Heavenly Father & someone to talk to and friends to dance around with every day

@Fcblover well considering Chevy was very close to getting his head caved in by Pryor on a live episode of Johnny Carson back in the day for saying Pryor's son was a prostitute, I'm quite sure it is Chevy that is the problem.

I met him at the christmas con last weekend. Wouldn't even look at me when I was standing right next to him. But to be fair; I don't think he was all there. He was kind of mumbling gibberish and seemed out of it.

This is just glossing over the fact that literally 90% of the people Chevy worked with, came to loath his guts. There is a good reason why nobody he knew showed up to his 2002 roast, because he was and still is, a class A prick.
