Hello. do you think the good example for The Tapped R is the second sound D in the word Daddy. Thank you Ms. Molly.

Yes, that's a good example! [ˈdæ.ɾi]

I love this series so much! I'm binge watching your videos hahaha P.S.: Didn't you mean "pero" (but) instead of "perro" (dog)? I believe "pero" uses the tapped R, while "perro" uses the trilled one

Yeah I got confused by this. A perfect example of Tapped R is PERO - BUT, and trilled is PERRO - DOG.

It's also a veddy British phoneme for the ingervocalic R

No it isn't. The "veddy" sound was a feature of traditional RP, a social accent which was never used by more than 3% of the population of England (not Britain), and has basically died out. Nobody speaks like that any more.

Saying that someone sounds inhuman because they pronounce the T in city as a T is really not a good idea, no matter how much IPA you've had. 🤣 I'm from Scotland and I pronounce my Ts as Ts and not as tapped Rs. I worked for decades as a conference interpreter in Europe and none of my clients, among whom were countless Americans, ever told me I sounded inhuman. You need to stop being so parochial and stress that you are talking about US varieties of English.

How would you transcribe "forget about it" using the tapped r and linking? Would it look something like [fɔ˞ɡɛɾ‿əbɑʊɾ‿it]?
