Ho letto anch’io in italiano. But, yes. It is about work but perhaps also about any undertaking that becomes routine. And how we take routine, accept it, depend on it, and in the process lose our humanity. Grazie mille.

This is one of my favourite books ever, and definitely one that made a huge impact and helped me discover a different literature. I read it long ago, definitely worth a reread.
