I would like to know if the burn-in is still a problem in 2024 on OLED tv’s because a lot a people keep talking about this and i would like to know if the solutions proposed by the brands (and especially LG) are effective to fix this problem. I don’t want to buy a TV right know I just want to get informations about OLED TV’s but i’m really interested about the LG B4 to enter in the OLED world.

I bought one of these to game on and a Bravia 8 for watching TV/Movies. QM7 has decent sound with Onkyo subwoofer built in. Picture AGAIN DECENT but not all that many dimming zone. Which is fine for gaming or like animated shows. If you want to watch more serious movies and shows with lots of blacks like Dune or House of Dragon get a qm8 as it has like 4x the dimming zones.

Lol Dimming zones font really mean much above a certain level. 1250 dimming zones is nothing to sneeze at. Processing is the key not zones. Unless you have millions of zones there is no difference. You can't tell 1000 zones from 3000 zones.

@colbert6122 Not true. In the most important aspects the TCL is slightly better. Rtings basically says they're even. The Hisense has more accurate color, but the TCL has less blooming and better zone transitions and if past history means anything the Hisense is less reliable.

Considering my 2nd U7 as my QM7 lasted about 3hrs until it died. Amazon is picking it up sometime after noon today. I have a U7K in a family room with my surround setup. I wanted an affordable 4k 144hz for the bedroom. Almost bought the Q7 as that $400 is really the range I wanted to spend for a bedroom tv but opted for the $555 QM7. Well now I’m a little jaded to it because it died so quick. Costco has the latest 2024 U7N 65” for $699 with 5yr warranty and 90 day return but now I’m almost double my desired budget. Uncertain what choice to make, likely will wait for 2025 line up.

Bought a 55” QM7 during the Black Friday sales for $479.99 from Best Buy. I’ve never seen Game of Thrones, so the wife and I have been watching that. When I say this is the best TV with the best sound I’ve ever experienced, I kid you not. Now, I’ve never seen OLED so I’m assuming it’s better, but night time and dungeon scenes with torches or candles lit looks absolutely incredible! It’s bright, even with brightness set down to 65/100. Never put volume above 25 and I’m pretty sure it goes to 100, you can feel the bass in your chest! Best TV I ever owned.

I recently lost some hours at work but otherwise would really consider the 55" version to replace my old 1080p TV in my spare/media room. Still happy with the 75" Samsung in my living room even though it is almost six years old now. It's edge lit yes, but has fantastic screen uniformity overall with no clouding or DSE.

Nice review I watch your vids all the time and used the info to purchase a 98 and 100 I ordered the hisense u76 100 inch & the 98 inch tcl mq7 on November 24th from best buy so two separate deliveries and mounting both times neither tv was in stock from the manufacturers because their "special order" best buy said they reattemp to have them mount them and set them up November 19th mind you both times prior neither tv was unavailable

Did you get the tvs? Which is better? I am on the fence between the 100 u76n and 98 qm7, I really want that cheaper price and extra 2 inches, but not at the expense of much better picture quality.

@allen-bg1yk unfortunately neither has been delivered installed or mounted yet due to them being "unavailable due to them being special order items and that the manufacturer hasnt delivered them to best buy as of yet" that's what best buy claims I personally think since if someone just orders the tvs to be just delivered their getting priority if you want the tvs mounted installed setup that adds a week to everything in general I think bb is just delivering the tvs cause it's just easier to collect the money and deliver something and move on to the next customer than to honor the deliver mount and installion as of now the u76 I s unavailable from both walmart and bestbuy the qm7 has been available on bb website. they were purchased November 24th best buy had scheduled delivery mounting and installation for December 2nd. December 9th and December 19th all 3 times bestbuy canceled the appointment due to the tvs not being available so if the next delivery attempt doesn't end up with me getting what I paid for over a month ago I may just request a refund they were black Friday deals and now the prices on everything has gone up. Now the difference between the 2 inches of both tvs hisense that was in the info on bestbuys site for the hisense u76 is a area of a 20inch tv I would say just bases on videos I've seen online thar the 100 is much larger I requested to speak to manager from the phone number bestbuy gives for customer service the reps tell you they have to submit a request to have a manager call you it's been over 2 weeks no one has called me back I ve spent alot of monet with bb in the past month i bought a 1500 laptop a lg soundbar plus 14 other items for gifts for Christmas the tvs laptop and soundboard are for me. How3ver bb managerial customer service is horrible the reps are limited to what they can do

My 55” died the second time I used it. My ring camera captured it live. I was using a PC on it and just started a 4k trailer on KZbin and the screen wiped off left to right. Slight movement lights when I press buttons. Now I don’t know what to buy. Costco has 90 day return and a 5yr warranty on the U7N / U75N and I already own a U75K from summer of 23. Thinking I might just wait for 2025 models.

Letting all of the weight of the tv rest on those two styrofoam things isn't a problem while attaching the stand? Seems to me it would be pushing heavily into the screen and possibly causing an issue. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I would have laid it on the box to try and at least equal distribute the weight across the screen instead of having those points pressing in on the screen like that. Am I overly paranoid? About to purchase a larger screen so trying to figure this out.

What version firmware are you running? The latest ota is v113., it makes a big difference. The latest betas 14-16 even make the tv better. A lot of things about this tv were not mentioned, this is not really a review.

I think QM7 is basically the C765, without 802.11ax

I am returning my QM8 75”. I cannot get over the color management especially of skin tones. Acutely unsettling specifically with the whites of eyes that get colored a skin tone in darker scenes. I am nearly always aware of the TV’s artifacts whether I am watching SDR or HDR or Dolbyvision content and find I have to fiddle with settings far more than any other TV to make viewing tolerable. I wanted a brighter TV but not at the cost of everything else.

You should consider the Hisense u8n at that size. The ads panel for 75" is great and the tv is very balanced, good color and great contrast while being bright

@ thanks but no. This was meant to replace a 2015 LG OLED 65” that still works great, already moved to the bedroom for dark late night viewing. I am replacing the QM8 with an LG C4 77” and is what I should have done in the first place. Instead I watched too many positive reviews of the QM8! Reviewers are glossing over shortcomings of MiniLED backlit LCDs and their limitations with color accuracy in scenes with high contrast or in dark scenes. I can’t get over purple skin tones or skin-colored whites of eyes in darker scenes. I do like the brightness and contrast but the variability in skin tones was an unexpected disappointment that took far too much fiddling with settings to make watching enjoyable for me. Many folks won’t care but if you’ve been watching OLED for 9 years the QM8 (and miniLED backlit LCD in general) may not live up to the fanboy reviews.

An interesting review but... you know what is really a thing that can decide which TV I might buy? How fast it turns on. I once on-sold a TCL after a month because it took more than 30 seconds to start up, even on the so-called 'fast-start' setting, and replaced it with a Hisense, which gave me a picture in about 4 seconds. Please don't speed past that in your reviews

Don't know who said that, but Andrew Robinson reviewed the QM8 which has the same processor, and he said it's smooth as silk. I've used mine for mostly PC gaming at 144hz but have also watched some movies and football on it, and all of it has been excellent in terms of motion.

If the TV doesn’t have a refresh rate of 120hz don’t get it, especially if you watch any sports, or game! I’ve watched the football and basketball disappear because the TV can keep up with the speed, lol, but if it’s just for movies and it’s super cheap, go for it

Not wrong but truth is every TV is off in the colors and needs calibration. Not even every Sony will be a perfect color match to next. Which is why professional calibration tools and apps exist. Eg) Calman. I just found out about all this reasearching some tv purchases and kind of interesting. The proper tool to calibrate your screen cost $400 and up. Some areas people do this as a service.

I'm returning mine. Fuzzy faces, gritty faces, overexposed faces..this tv not ggood with faces. Software glitch with my receiver 2 hours on phone with tcl could not fix. WIRED did a review and experienced software problems too. In my case its too bizarre invovling reciever and only certain apps. My Samsung mu8500 totaĺy outperformed this. A Samsung Q80c was just delivered today to replace it. I dismissed the basic "Q" line as too old school but its the Q80 has somebexcellent specs and reviews. We'll see. Anyway. ...the QM7 is kind of a pc of junk in my opinion.
