I know I'm 2 years late on this comment. But I saw them live, and when they played this song, as the big guitar solo was going to kick in, they instead hit the riff from Led Zeppelins Kashmir, and they played that. The crowd lost their minds. It was awesome.

This is an amazing, original band. You can skip the first album...it flopped. Couple songs from that album made it to the second album. I'd say 10 awesome songs and 10 more good ones. My joke about The Tea Party is that Jim Morrison came back to life and joined Led Zeppelin.
@hmpz36911
@hmpz36911 2 жыл бұрын
@@jomojojo6603 I can see those comparisons. Also, Dio-era Rainbow (circa mid-late 70s) had some of these Middle Eastern type elements, in songs like Gates Of Babylon or Stargazer. Scorpions (same 70s era) used a bit in Sails Of Charon as well. I love these exotic elements in rock/metal and incorporated them into my music as well. I don't know anything about Tea Party, but am very interested in what their influences were.

The Tea Party is a great Canadian alternative rock band I first heard them in 1993 on college radio on JSU in Jacksonville, Alabama when I heard this song I immediately thought oh I found me a new band to listen to and yes I did , but the first Album I bought of theirs was Transmission it was a very aggressive vibe on most of the songs ! Temptation by them is a great song the video is well pretty gothic looking but awesome ! Too bad The Tea Party hasn’t gotten the push here in America like they’ve gotten in other countries though !
