I saw Jeff in concert a year ago and he told us that the song was written about a breakup he had. He didn't think the song would do so well, so now he frequently plays it, and re-lives it! He laughed when he told the audience, and someone yelled "At least you got paid for it!"

First Tea Party song I ever heard (being American and not exposed to them) and still my favorite. Such haunting and sad lyrics.

I'm an Aussie that listens to them. I think I first heard heaven coming down on the Road Rash PS game. That was years ago, have been a fan ever since. Its a shame they are not that well known outside of North America.

Years ago, when I was in college, I could get a Canadian station so I actually know about these guys. Now, in a flash of memory, I decided to look up these guys. Glad I found. Although, I'm an American I'm probably like one of six guys who didn't do as you suggested.

personally, i like the tea party music very much and i enjoy very much listening to it. and obviously this is the reason why i got here. however, i know what i am listening to, and i just find that their music is to a great extent influenced and portentous. i would like more depth and meaning to it. that's all. take care.

Is it safe to look within And erase all that's been And all that's been between Is it gone, tell me what went wrong 'cause baby i'm not that strong And I'm walking wounded All Alone All Alone Are you comfortable and numb Do they all succumb to all those lies Does it satisfy the greed Is it all you need Is it all you want well baby i'm not that strong And I'm walking wounded All Alone and baby i'm not that strong And I'm walking wounded All Alone All Alone How does it feel? How does it feel? baby, now How does it feel? How does it feel? If your memories do stray Then they'll betray all that's past And all that's been between Is it gone, tell me what went wrong 'cause baby I'm not that strong And I'm walking wounded All Alone and baby i'm not that strong And I'm walking wounded All Alone All Alone

did you even read what i wrote? i said that such comparisons have no meaning. at all. what do you mean by saying "better" in the first place? what IS better? anyway i will not argue about things like this. i have learned in my life to recognize and respect each artist for their contribution to the music and my development as a human being. and jim morrison in whatever way fried he was, he has left behind a meaningful legacy as far as i am concerned and i respect that.
