I was 9 then and supported Scotland even though I was English, living in Liverpool! and the same again as a 13 year old in 78.... That proves We Are Better Together!

No it doesn't. I supported the USA the other day does this mean they should not have declared their independence.

Childish, floored comment...we in the union of home nations, should stay united within our union. As for supporting the U.S.A. (I did too) they have their own union, hence the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA...get it?.
@seanmacmillan460010 жыл бұрын
David Cummings Every state is effectively a collection of smaller states. Over the last century or so the trend has moved toward separation with all but a few exceptions. Either way, their are a lot of good arguments for both Union and Independence but the team you supported at a world cup 40 years ago is hardly relevant.

If England doesn't make it to a tournament NOW and Scotland does...I would support them! because WE are BETTER TOGETHER!

Why do you think we are better together ?, I would like to see England do well regardless if their is a union or not the same I way I support the republic of Ireland.

If only Billy Bremner scored that, it would've changed history & it could've also been the best moment in Scottish Football history, possibly British. This side was already a strong team but I'm sure you know what I mean.

I think that the 1966 World Cup Final might have been more important than Bremner's miss.

People speak about the 78 debacle , being beaten by The South American Champions , a draw ,then playing the eventual World Cup Runners up’s off the park , oh what we would give for a World Cup like that these days.

what a random question! i'm a rugby fan so 12 years of straight domination of world rugby sounds like a winning proposition. if you were to ask what would mean more to the nation, I would say the FIFA world cup run, however. can i ask why you asked that question though?

True then and now. The Scottish have more belief and passion than us English.

Why should the narrator be facetious about the BBC mentioning the possibility of trouble from Scots supporters in West Germany? Those supporters had caused mayhem on successive visits to Wembley.

C'était la meilleure équipe que l'écosse n'ait jamais eue. Très complète à tous les niveaux. Celle de 1978 était beaucoup moins forte, pas de défense et de gardien de but
