TF40 is basically Tecnifibre 40 years anniversary. This line is released on that time mark

You will get used to the grip and figure out how to make it work. The TF40 is a great stick for players who come from the Blade but want a little more power and ball feel.

Tecnifibre loses SO MANY potential customers due to the grip shape, myself included. Loved the 305 in both versions but couldn’t deal with the grip shape or the buttcap not opening up. Tecnifibre also has the best feeling racquets IMO too. You would have liked the 305 versions better but glad you gave Tecnifibre a shot! Foam filled is an amazing feeling, wish all racquets came that way.

@@MPTennisnot sure why I'm got unsub from.ur channel.not allowed to comment either. Other than commenting I played atp tour and NCAA 1. 25 years ago .and been coaching since. I retired from work and I'm back at playing. Thinking about trying that raquet.

Buttcap not opening up is an issue, yes. Personally I love the grip shape! Can't really play again on current Wilson/Babolat/Yonex. I'm using the TF40 305 18x20, previous model.

He won’t like it. He likes spin. And although the 305 is probably the most spin friendly 18/19* in the market, it’s not near as spin friendly as his old head extreme. I keep thinking his racket is either the Head Gravity MP (customized) or the Babolat pure strike 100
@villiam7941
@villiam7941 Жыл бұрын
Gravity mp is awful racket to me. Too much power, no control, too flexible as a nudle. On paper in was good, but even 10+ g of lead didn’t help.

Great review. Haven’t tried this one but did try the Tfight 305 and hated it instantly. Just felt way too much like a trampoline. Could’ve been the demo strings and tension I suppose but still, just couldn’t jive with it.

If you're referring to the iso generation then that technology indeed seems to give a sort springy feeling which tends to lessen control. Tf40 doesn't have that, it has a classic feel

Good review, looks good hitting. with spin. Wanted an Iga racket but the grip shape is just so so, TF higher ups are so stubborn not even listening to their consumer market, they just want to sign a lot of top 50 players and expect us to like the grip.

Only problem with tecnifibre grips is the lack of bevel on the buttcap. It's just fine after increasing that bevel.

Don't know if you would remember the feeling but between this and the Solinco White Out 18x20 standard, which do you prefer more? Spec wise they are pretty similar with the TF40 just having a higher static weight.

yeah the grip shape is a big turn off for me, I noticed I can hardly hit topsin forehand with it but maybe it´s something that you just have to get used to and then it´s fine, idk tho. As far as I know the TF in the name means Tecnifibre and the 40 is because the racquet was first released for the 40th anniversary of the brand.

The 315 is a great frame. Too much racket for me so I switched to the 300g Very customizable and spin friendly. I agreed, the grip shape takes time to get use to it. Tip: going one size down of your regular grip helps a lot.

I love the racket and have been playing with it for about 6 months, I switched from the Wilson Blade. However its starting to be a little harsh on my arm, its a little head heavy which I love for plow through but at the same time its kind of making me hit late sometimes. Can you recommend something similar to this that is as stable but isn't quite as harsh on the arm? Something more plush?

@@MPTennis customized in what sense ? Lead tape cna be added to both so...frame/beam is a different thickness shape....one is rectangular and the other is like extreme tour

@@Bambotb well customizing a racquet changes everything. So tbh my radical is just better in every way but it’s not fair to say because not everyone has my custom specs. Stock they play kinda similar but I would still pick the radical. Like I said the biggest difference imo is that grip shape. It sucks lol.

You actually answered this in the video already but if you have any additional tips I would appreciate it. Do you think this racquet would work with recreational / intermediate 33 year old? =) I have tried and reall liked Pure Aero team 2023 and Wilson Clash 100 v2. Swing weight seems right but overall weight and forgiveness?
