I wish I knew this in my 20s or 30s because the earlier in life a person does these things, the longer the person can preserve the length of the Telomeres and in theory the longer you can live!

I am so sad and depressed because I BLEW it and did not know that sedentary life style with high sugar gave me Diabetes. I was in the USAF 30 years ago and had lots of energy. I was UNAWARE that high sugar intake causes diabetes and accelerated telomere shortening. I stopped eating sugar a month or two ago and my weight is going down ALOT

Is it possible to reverse the Hayflick limit in later years? feel my telomeres are critically short. I have mito dysfunction and chronic fatigue due to lifelong stress that started in childhood. So, can ppl like me get well again? Anyone know?
@MARKSIBLEYMD
@MARKSIBLEYMD 2 жыл бұрын
Dear HOPE, you mentioned the Hayflick Limit( telomeres always shortened with every cell division until they ARE TOO SHORT for any more duplications).... FYI, for those reading the comment, telomeres can be/will be preserved and remain "long" with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, stress reduction, and exercise.. This equates to longer life and healthier cells..

Yes,you can by fasting and diet

yes the high level of strress which releases Cortosol from the Adrenal glands. That makes the life span of your daughter cells much shorter and it causes the stem cells to cell devide at a much faster rate shortening your telomeres. I would run...run run run! do its 2-3 days a week! Then take NMN and NAND suplements.
