My wife brought over an upholstered chair from the neighbors...who WERE clean people. So I'm sitting there watching TV...and I see a mouse crawl out of it...right? I go "Hon...where did Karen keep this chair?". My wife goes, "Oh, she kept it in her garage.". I took that f--king chair and heaved out on the front lawn. I was PISSED at my wife. And yes...we caught the mouse about 2 days later....NEVER take anything upholstered, from a stranger......into your house....NOT even from neighbors!

This reminds me of a small couch I put out to the street. My wife said the trash man won't take it. I said it'll be gone before trash day you'll see. So I put the couch down on the curb. I went in to get my camera to take a picture of the couch on the curb. I returned 5 mins later AND IT WAS GONE! Scrap metal is basically free money. It's not difficult so a lot of people do it. Pick up some stuff for free, drop it off at a place that pays you for it. Just depends on what the scrap rates are and whether you think it's worth your time and effort.

I use to clean apartments where I once lived after tenants moved out or was evicted. I did it for extra money. I use to work a lot. I did the cleaning on Saturdays whenever there was an apartment empty. Through the week I worked two other jobs. Did that extra job for a while. I'm so happy to be sitting on my butt now while still able to pay my bills. I cleaned some apartments that I wore more than the usual long gloves and hair wrap. I wore covers over my worst pair gym shoes, mask and clothes that I cleaned in. Needless to say, I didn't wash these clothes with my regular clothes. Some people are just plain NASTY!!!! RIDICULOUS!!!!! Some apartments took me a week to get it ready for another tenant. I worked through the week a couple hours after my second job. WHEW!!!!! How people live like that I don't know. I pulled most of my clothes off before going into my apartment. Left my shorts on that was under my pants and tank on that was under my top. The normal apartments I didn't have to wear all of that.

It’s truly sad and unfortunate the greed of some individuals, I mean seriously do they not have any damn shame, that is to just take someone’s stuff, right as their being put out on the streets, although that’s exactly what’s wrong with our world. they all seem to be like that not paying bills, trash everywhere, everything's broken, one or more utilities are off, and they never got any notice/didn't know anything was happening/no one told them anything (bonus points when the say "I just mailed the check/I talked to a guy on the phone and he said it's good im soooo confused)" then they get told to leave ASAP and they start wandering in circles, usually smoking and then they'll like pick up a cup, set it back down, spin around in a chair "oh well I should probably grab my favorite comic books" I'd have my clothes and some food and be gone..let them take everything to the dump or given away. Clearly it's all trash, won't ever be used and I'm not going to be even more embarrassed trying to lie and fight as the landlord, law enforcement and neighbors all start showing up with their bodycams and cell phones😂..single bag of stuff I need and I'm gone, lesson learned
