Would love to see Grandpa rescue/restore damaged furniture that because so many don’t know Chinese wood-working traditions, they wouldn’t know how to fix nowadays. That’d be such a cool approach to explore Grandpa’s area of expertise, considering one of the advantages of *not* using nails is replacing only broken sections would actually be feasible. 🙂

To be fair, that level of woodworking isn't obvious to anyone who didn't do the full apprenticeship. Some Amish in America still have some skills beyond most others here with mortice and tenet etc. But they usually just make garbage for tourists.
