A trip to The Tent to see what everything looks like 12 days after I was up there last. The water has subsided. Before and after video footage.

I like your comment on the deer flies. Many years we have been up to the Boundary Waters and some years the mosquitos are a an others it is the deer flies. I have a picture somewhere where we are covered with flies, tents, canoes, food, an of course our Boy Scouts! They really did not bite us, but they were everywhere. My wife said how could we stand it! We still ha a good time, just got use to it. Thank you for the videos!!!

That was some crazy rain, glad to hear the tent was not damaged. Looks like there is going to be some good hunting areas around the tent this year, hopefully the wolf situation gets under control. Regards Mark

I just got back on June 20 from my yearly 2 weeks in MN over near Park Rapids. Rained nearly every day, at least part of the day and we lost power for 6 hours. I still loved it.

Happy Fourth of July from West Fargo North Dakota. I still get a chuckle from the last video when you were talking about the mosquitoes saying " I can't even explain it!"... LOL Looking forward to more Tent videos this summer.

Thanks for the update on the flood! Water is a very powerful force, which is one reason not to drive into flood waters. Glad the tent and your folks cabin was not impacted.

Happy 4th J and M and Co. MN sure has had its share this Spring and Summer. Paying for that mild winter. We've had a lot too in ND but so far not nearly as bad. Take Care!

I guess the rising water didn't trigger the camera because it was relatively gradual, going up and going back down?
@NorthernSeclusion6 күн бұрын
Yes and there would not be much wildlife setting it off because they tend to hide during storms.

At least Mother Nature showed the railroad where to install culverts. We're in a 10 yr drought, so I love seeing mud in place of dust

Hey Joe I have a question for you and maybe you have said before but I can’t remember if you had or not but my dad has been having trouble with some potchers coming onto his property and they have shot one of the big bucks that we have started seeing coming around but can’t seem to catch them in the act!! What kind of trail cameras do you use around the tent and witch ones would you recommend to get??? Even if it might not be one’s that send pictures straight to your phone!!! What kind and what ones have you had the best luck with?? It seems like you have had the same trail cameras up at the tent for ever unless you have changed them out and you didn’t say anything about it?? Thanks for the info in advance!!! Awesome video and thank goodness nothing of yours got destroyed from all the flooding that has happened there in Minnesota!!! I had asked my mom the other day if she had heard from her brother that lives in Minnesota and is a lawyer for some big big company up there!!! She didn’t even know that Minnesota had a bunch of flooding!!! I believe he lives around the twin cities somewhere and I had herd that the flooding was getting close to the twin cities but I’m not 100% sure on exactly how far the water got to the twin city or even into the twin cities????

I have the expensive Bushnell cameras and I have the cheaper Wildlife innovation cameras and I have some real cheap ones also but I do not know what brands they are. The one pointing at the dock is one of the Wildlife innovation cameras. They are user friendly and have served me well. I have one here at the farm also. I would suggest them just for ease of use and the picture quality is as good as my more expensive cameras I think.

Do you ever worry about wolves when you are walking around at the tent? I’ve watched you for years & you don’t ever appear to be worried about them.
@NorthernSeclusion9 күн бұрын
It is quite common to see them up there but they always run away. I never worry about the wolves. In the spring, you just worry about getting between a bear and her cubs.

Here in Canada, if you shoot geese. You do prison time.
@NorthernSeclusion9 күн бұрын
We have a goose season in the early fall, an early season and then it is open for the whole waterfowl season and some places have an early spring goose season as well. When I do an internet search about hunting geese in Canada it says that hunters shoot more than 500,000 geese a year in Canada so if you shoot geese during the season, you are not going to do any prison time at all. In the US last year, hunters shot 1.78 million Canadian honkers during the hunting season. Your information is incorrect.

Own it. The area around the property is the Superior National Forest.
