Sgt. Roos, John T.(Ret.) My Dad had that vision, too!:) We went an older couples house on a MN lake in the very early 1970's. The two were almost identical! I think that my Dad was so struck by the older couple's home, that when he got the homestead on Buck Lake, MN, that he tried to replicate the new house that he built, in 1991. There was a very short channel to Cass Lake, MN. He first started fishing for Muskies in 1967. He won the Muskies Inc. Tournament 4 times... He passed away in August of 2015. Semper Fidelis, Ted C. Roos

I loved how after cleaning the table and setting the post it pad and pen on the table you turned the pen around into the “correct” position. It’s not easy being OCD. 😋

People don't realize the true value of just fishing. So relaxing. The stories you can swap. My grandfather and I had the best times. Also, a small story. There are quite a few organizations that volunteer to take kids from 5-18 fishing. I was on Walmart one day and saw they had an adult and kids zebco combo pack. It was on sale. I bought 10 packs. I donated them to a local club that supports fishing. Now, at least 10 teenagers and 10 kids could have a free zebco rod and reel. Personally, I've always loved a zebco. Everyone has their favorite choice. But it's a great sturdy little rod and reel. This club advertised and asked people to sign up since it was free. They got over 40 people who wanted their kids or teens to try fishing. Many others donated all sorts of stuff. NO kid would leave without a rod, bobber and hook. Someone donated small handle starter tackle boxes. Many people donated bobbers, hooks, different lures and even mini safety kits with bandaids and antiseptic. Turns out that event went over big time. I type this so that other people who read it might take a moment to search in their towns for organizations that help kids fish. Some boys and girls have no father figures. Or mother's. This gives them an opportunity to learn fishing and boost their self confidence. It allows them to share their stories and leave feeling valued. Even if you donate $5 bucks, it helps. If you find a $10 rod n reel , someone will stop by and pick it up as a donation. I'm not listing any organization since most of these are done locally to help youth in your own area. I know this is an off topic subject from Joe's video but felt it was worth reminding people that their actions to help others can result in kids enjoying a fun hobby, when sometimes.. Their households don't even have the extra $10 to spare to get them started in something so worthwhile. That touched me so that I felt the real need to donate. I am lucky in life and I am thankful. Think about making some kids life better by donating to a worthwhile sport.
