I arrive at the Tent and find that a bear had tried to get in. Fixing the damage. Checking out the Backwoods cabin for any bear trouble. Fixing the gas grill. Joanie the dog is up with me. George stops by. The neighbors have had a bear in their cabin. Tent cooking.

just have to share this one. A coupe of months ago , I took the kayak out of the barn to get ready for fishing. At 73 and still feeling quiet young . Got into the the kayak and checked everything out and was good to go. Good thing the only witness was the dog with me trying to get get out of the boat. Getting old is no joke and had to roll over and crawl out. Every day is a gift from God and dont waste them.

Good for you! 🛶 I’m 71, and I feel Younger than I ever imagined I would at this age, but I feel a little off-balance, doing the things that were so easy to do before - no more hopping down the stairs and skipping everything other step. Oh, well, as to what you’re alluding, we’re lucky to be around to experience the signs of getting older. I’ll take it. 😀

Hi! PINE SOL! LOL If you pour it all around outside the tent and on the walls and porch. Also wash down the floors and shower room, kitchen and outhouse with it. Hey Joe, you were lucky he didn't break the glass in the door. I have lived in Alaska all my life, 73 years and I have had more encounters with bears than you can imagine. I have only killed 3 bears in that time when they charged and meant business. I keep my old short barrel Mossberg handy. The first round is a Bean Bag load and the rest are slugs, usually the Bean Bag does the trick. On 3 of my cabins, I built guards from rebar for my windows and doors, they work great. Hope you get the front of the tent beefed up. hope your dad is doing well and has a speedy recovery.
