I like the truck cam. It's as if we are sitting next to him, riding along and he's talking and we are listening. The scenery is great.

I can remember many fishing trips with my Dad that yielded little results but were completely satisfying. It's not the results but the experience. Thank you Joe for all the experiences you've shared. I for one, am grateful for your diligent work sharing with us.

Another great season at the tent for deer season Joe! Spending time with family and friends is priceless . I can’t tell you how many times I have spent fishing with my kids not catching a darn thing and I still remember those times as fondly as I do the successful trips. Stay well , good luck finishing the Louisiana house , looks,like you have a busy month coming up .

As usual I really enjoyed the videos this year. The videos are better when the kids are there. You made me hungry again. That is always consistent. Hopefully not only will you get a deer but maybe you can get the shot on film That would be nice. A demonstration on field dressing would be interesting as well. I think next year Sara will show you how to get one. Take care, be safe, we want you back for the winter trip.

I take my cat camping in the truck camper all the time. She is less trouble than the dog, EXCEPT...she has to ride in the back. Meows endlessly if in the carrier. Drives me nuts. Took her from CA to MA and back. Great company, never wandered off for very long.

The last two years in Wisconsin for us the same way. A few does and fawns and no bucks. But we go up and have fun anyway. That being said, I like to see somebody get at least ONE deer a year. But we will go again next year for sure. Take care and thanks for uploading. Have a safe year!

It's been a shitty year all the way around, so I wasn't surprised to see you had an uneventful deer season. At least you still got to watch Miss Kitty prance around The Long Branch Saloon. We really enjoy The Tent videos (especially in cold weather). Thank you for taking us along. It has to be a pain in the ass to lug the camera around and film everything. Not gonna mention editing:) I hope you and your loved ones have a slow paced and Merry Christmas.
@JoeandZachSurvival4 жыл бұрын
I do not mind having the camera, long before KZbin I was carrying one around. Slow paced? Things are now going to get VERY busy. I leave next week for Louisiana to finish that house. I will not get back home until the beginning of January. I am stressed about how much work I have to get done by December 31st.
@tddstl31664 жыл бұрын
@@JoeandZachSurvival I knew that from watching other videos where you mentioned it. You're an amazing man with seemingly endless energy. I don't know how you do it. We're about the same age. One of my favorite video shots of you is when you put something in the microwave at The Tent and then quickly put your hands in your pocket like you're mumbling, "come on already and heat my damn food so I can get moving again" :) I do hope you might find a day or two around Christmas to just sit back and relax a bit.

We miss him but yours reminds us of him. So thanks again maybe next year you’ll get one!🥩🦌🥔 Next: Winter Tent can’t wait for that when n if you and your Dad have the snowmobiles.

Hi Joe I am back from what normally is a 9 day hunt for me in Wisconsin. Your hunt sounds like a duplicate of what I had here. Last year i considered it to be a very slow year but this was a topper as far as inactivity and just nothing to see accept hardwoods for 7 straight days . I'm comparing that to the last 53 years of hunting . We have had a few bad years of winter in our area and do believe that has taken its toll along with predation . Very long days with out any activity . It really tests ones patience . I have been there but not like these last 2 years. I see where you depend on seeing tracking in your area to inspire your hunt as do we. When there's very little of it ,hopes are not high. This is the first time i can remember cutting are hunt short by a day but the 3 members at are camp where on the same page and ready to call it a year. There's always next year. I think I am liking the my crossbow season here more and more. I came to the conclusion that the deer here found out about the covid and declared a social distancing policy.
@JoeandZachSurvival4 жыл бұрын
Ha. maybe the deer have covid and instead of a 98% survival rate it is just the opposite for them. Lol.

Another great video Joe. I always enjoy watching. Sorry it has taken me so long to get to them, but I am sure you understand. While you were posting these videos we were leaving for our rifle opener here in WV. Our season opened on the 23rd of November, and on the 20th we were leaving for deer camp. Your season was similar to mine, didn't see a buck to shoot, well I did see a spike on opening day, but it wasn't legal to shoot. But, it isn't all about harvesting a deer, there is something about just being there and enjoying yourself. And with the way this past year has been, we all needed to get away to deer camp. I agree with George!!! No better place to be!! Possibly this year 2021, I will retire from my State job and be able to go to deer camp for the entire two weeks. Keeping my fingers crossed. It is always sad to see the end come and you have to pack up and head back home. Looking forward to the Winter Trip. Take care and Happy New Year to you and yours. And as we say on our channel, "we will see you in the woods!" Juddie - J & J TOA

I would like to share my deer season on your channel if you don't mind. I grew up in Pennsylvania and hunting was the most important thing in life to me. For some reason I moved to Las Vegas and then to Florida to take care of my elderly mother. I hadnt hunted in 18 years! my 21 year old daughter pleaded with me to take her deer hunting. She grew up in Vegas with my deer heads and stories but I never got a chance to take her hunting and never had the desire to hunt out there. So finally I flew her out to Florida from Vegas and we drove up to Pennsylvania to go deer hunting. We rented a very rustic cabin and hunted on public land and bagged a huge 8 pointer! it took us 5 hours to drag his ass out of the woods. Since she was 21, I took her to The Old Rangers Inn and we celebrated with her first legal beer and a pizza. It was awesome!!!
