Everything you cook up there Joe, looks delicious. I sure appreciate your taking the rest of us along with you. Been many, many years since I've been able to enjoy the woods as you do, and watching these seems to bring me a fair amount of peace. Much needed peace. Thanks...

Hey Joe, You make Minnesota deer and fisherman proud. Cannot stop watching. Are pork steaks really that Good? How deep is your lake? Why not fish at dust for the Walleyes? Maybe some electronics for the boat. Btw never scene anyone light a stove with lighter fluid. Please keep the combustibles further away from the stove and never Vacuum the area around the stove. You have a great weekend life. We do the same up on Milacs at 2 hours way from home. Thanks for the fun times watching. Jim

Hi Joe. First time commenter on your videos. I've been watching them all for a few years now. Just going back through the old videos, getting excited for hunting season here in MN. You and I are kindred souls. Potatoes with lots of butter, too much red meat, Gunsmoke and Patsy Cline! :) I love your videos!

I honestly don't know how you have time to run a company. The cabin is work, work,and more work. You have a passion I guess. Don;t know if it is a passion or an obsession; but, love the videos. I CAN'T STOP WATCHING THEM.

Joe to change up your potatoes, cut them up, with green peppers, chopped onions, whole kernel corn, sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder, red pepper flakes and plenty of butter, make the tinfoil like a pouch, sealed around the edges, put on the grill a little while before you put your steaks on....soooooo goooood!!!!!! Another way I do yellow onions is to cut in half, leave on the peel, sprinkle with lowery season salt, put cut side down and let it grill till it chars snd softens some, then flip the onion over peel side down and put some butter on onion another pinch of season salt let cook some more.... take up, pull skin off onion, cut up. So good with pork steak or regular steak....

Great tent / cabin. Woods look like a very hard place to hunt. I just bow hunt. Your cameras didn't show much deer activity. Look like you will be spending a lot of time on stand and maybe you won't even see a deer. Here in Arkansas we will have a lot of deer on camera when we check them. Good hunting this season. I enjoyed the view into your hunting camp. Thanks for posting.

I cook chuck eye all the time. It is next to the Rib eye. Tonight I seasoned them with McCormick Montreal Steak seasoning. Grilled them 4 minutes in each side in my cast iron skillet, then added a at of butter to each. My sides were a fresh tomato, cucumber and lettuce salad and freshly sliced red potatoes fried in lard and quickly seasoned with salt and pepper. Yummm! Cannot tell the chuck eye from rib eye.

Pick up a shooting stick on Amazon for your ground blind. Usually just like a collapsible ski pole with a V on top. Good to have on you at all times so when you're walking in or out youll have something handy if you stumble across a deer. Super lightweight and worth the investment... you can even use them in a deer stand for weird angles.

I have been using a pop up blinds for about 10 years, It makes things more comfortable an injoyable being out of the elements. I also use a Vangaurd Bi Pod, You can move it around easier inside the blind. Building a frame to rest the gun on works great to. Have a great season. Good Luck.
@terryteague1647 жыл бұрын
Joe...for hunting out of that ground blind, which I do every year here in southern Missouri is I cut a smaller tree limb (in my case, Cedar) with a good fork and debark it. The fork becomes the base and the branch is your rest. You can't move side to side because of the fork part on the ground and you won't move back and forth because you're sitting in a chair with a grip on the branch and the barrel at the same time. It's a very stable shooting platform and I starting using one because it pissed me off that they wanted 20.00 at the store for a cheap plastic one. Try it and it will be one of those palm slaps to the forehead for it's simplicity and usefulness.
@terryteague1647 жыл бұрын
One more thing, not for you so much but for others is you will have to cut the fork leaving a good 4-6 inches for on the ground and the branch longer than your shooting height a little.

Hey Joe I just wanted to give you a heads up. You talked about need to take out all the canned goods before winter. I don't think you'll need to do that. If you pull down the label on the side of a can you'll notice that they're all corrugated. That's too low for expansion when they're canning them in the factory. But it also works the other way around if they freeze does corrugations allows those two xpand 2. We had a bear proof tub in Alaska that would put all of our canned goods in when we left for the winner. To my knowledge we never had one can rupture or go bad. You may want to try leaving two or three cans in your tent on a paper plate and let them over Winter and see what you think save you a bunch of labor. We did this for many years going back into our moose camp and it would get down 40 50 below zero and never had an issue

Joe, ANOTHER AWEOSME AWESOME video. I told the fellas today that you posted a new tent video. The response back was "What time?" and "Who's bringing the pizza?" hahaha. You really know how to show us the home atmosphere for us serving over here in the Middle East. Some of the fellas a lot of times say, "Yup def re-watching that this week" haha. I even have my Company Commander watching now lol. He's a huge deer hunter. Just a thought regarding cameras. I noticed that you have a lot of photos with no game on them. What if you attached the camera to a bigger tree? The wind it is the worst enemy for cameras. As soon as that tree moves a little bit, boom a picture is taken. Just a thought. Again Joe thanks for giving us troops another memory of home. It def helps! God Bless!!
