The first spring trip to The Tent. My Dad makes it to the folks cabin for the first time since his December surgery. Melissa comes up with Nelly and Joanie the dogs. A special jewelry box and a marriage proposal. What a great weekend. This video is also posted on Joe and Zach Survival.

I just started watching your videos a few months ago and like many, the Tent videos are what hooked me. Ive watched many of your past videos the last few months to see the history of how the Tent came to be and how your relationship with Melissa developed over the years. Its been very enjoyable getting to know you and learn about your life and see the different sides of you. I cant tell you how happy I am for you and Melissa and you both deserve this so much. I wish all the happiness and blessings in the world for both of you. The jewelry box you made for her is absolutely amazing and I love the compartment underneath. I know how you are and when you mentioned you dont have much patience, I had to laugh because I was thinking of you doing all that detail work and knowing you dont see yourself as a patient man. I actually think you are a patient man - I see it in the way you live each day and handle each challenge that comes along. Its obvious that the jewelry box was a labor of love and I know the thought you put into it will forever be special to Melissa. I do want to mention one other thing Joe. You are a wonderful devoted son to your parents. Its so thoughtful of you to take such good care of them and go to the cabin to make sure its warm and comfortable when your dad gets there. You are a good, honest, hard working man and we are all very fortunate that you share your life with us and inspire us all in so many ways. Thank you for all you do and congratulations again!! It took me ten years to propose to my wife and although many thought it was too long I needed to make sure all the box's were checked twice before I was convinced she was the one.
