I really enjoy your videos at the tent! Exactly 30 miles from my house I own a little over 10 acres and I have a trailer that identifies as a cabin on it I really enjoy going up to it, I don’t have electricity up there so it’s a little different that your setup but I’m still really proud of it!

Thank you one day I want to build me a actual cabin on it but we are gonna get the wife a newer car first and then hopefully in the next few years I will get a cabin! My place is in Kentucky and is equal distance of one hour from Louisville and Cincinnati Ohio. I’m not sure where Babbitt is?

Thanks for the reply Joe! I can't find the original message so I'll go from memory....we are much the same. Our cabin dreams involve places not filled with people, kids, barking dogs...you know..the things we live with in our everyday life...4 hours is kinda barely where we start finding land that holds some interest....it's been a long search and we're still searching...just a spot where we might have some timber, maybe a river or lake nearby and the nearest neighbor is not right nextdoor! Anyway, we love turning on your videos and letting them go. Someday, we want to be doing just what you guys are doing! Take Care!
@NorthernSeclusion
@NorthernSeclusion Жыл бұрын
4 hours is not a big deal, just make sure that when you can, you take a day off work and do the 3 day. Go up Thursday night and come home Sunday or go up Friday and come home Monday. Not always, but once in awhile. It makes that long drive worth it. Just you and your ears ringing, its priceless.

Those birds are called Grey Jays. also called Whisky Jacks, Camp Robbers and a few other names. As far as the cooking question, we are busy during the week so whenever we cook we like to cook once and eat it for several days. Leftovers, yes.

In regard to that tree that fell across the driveway, will you go back later and get any decent size wood off of it to burn? I also was wondering if you have thought about going through the woods on the Tent property and look for any down trees or dead standing trees? You could wait until the fall before it gets cold to get some of that wood bucked up and brought out to your wood pile just beyond the Outhouse. Now that you are using a wood burning boiler at the Farmhouse and no longer get wood down by the Hobby Farm property from a wood service guy, it seems like you will need to start sourcing your wood from either on yours or your Dad's property in the next few years.
@NorthernSeclusion
@NorthernSeclusion Жыл бұрын
I just order 24 cord of wood at the house. You can not transport wood from one county to another in Minnesota so I can not take wood from the tent property and bring it home. It is a very hefty fine of you get caught.
