This was incredible, the setting, the atmosphere, the athletes, the split, the camera work and production. The only issue, and it's really minor, is that at times the crowd was so hyped that understanding the casters was a bit challenging, but then again this only helped the atmosphere. Well done by everyone involved 👍

It's great showing the Height + Span of climbers, it gives some good insight to the scale of the boulders, the technique of each athlètes and well also why It looks so much harder and further for some of them.

Yeah, unbelievably rude. I can't believe no one told her to shut up... Also the fact that she held her yells for like 5 seconds to get as much attention as possible and how she kept calling literally every single climber by their first name as if she was best buddies with all of them. I dunno, maybe she has mental problems, but that shouldn't be a reason to not do something about her. She was obviously trying to be as distracting as possible and that should not be allowed in a comp.

You can be sad about someone's miss without diminishing the efforts of others by saying that "they were just tall". Agree that the last move was harder for Max. But Jack is probably as tall as Toby, and Dayan even taller, and they didn't even touch the top. Do you think you get there just by being tall?

You can't contribute that to the height difference. Watch it again, Toby actually let the heel hook go before going to the last hold. Max kept the heel hook, which worked against him when going for the top.

If we talk about heights, it's more obviously happening and undergoing on Connie. She's 156cm with -2cm span, where other female athletes are at least 165cm and mostly with some plus span. You can tell she struggled all boulders even whilst others didn't. and on the 4th boulder she was not able to push chimney securely to move forward like other did, that’s the most morpho situation in this final.

Though the reason Max kept his heel on seems because he used the ceiling arête as for an intermediate which is unhelpful for his arm span comparing to Toby's proportion, it looks like he could've done it if he had 1 more attempt. It doesn't seem to be just their heights or span difference were the decisive factors in this case.

There isn't much height difference between Toby and Max actually being at the event in person. The reason Max didn't top was beta and not height.
