Whats up you guys!! Welcome or welcome back to my channel. Watching this film was definitely a blast and full of gun blazing action which I love. Being that I am Big fan of Arnold it was easy to take a liking to this film. I thought that I had seen this before but as the movie started nothing seem familiar to me so I guess I was wrong. I took me for surprise to see Arnold play a villain role and he was complete nuts in the film lol. As I watched Sarah and John fight to death against Arnolds endoskeleton I was curious to how they would defeat it because he was absolutely "UNSTOPPABLE" .

I really like how machine-like the Terminator was. The only people in danger were the ones in his way. If you weren't blocking him from his target, you didn't matter - he just ignored you. No wasted energy. That was an excellent character detail.

@@AdamHauger Yeah, as far as I'm concerned, there were only two great Terminator films. I'll give the new Cameron one a pass because it brought back the REAL Sarah and it used the T800 in a clever way, but it's mostly a rehash. But seeing Sarah still kicking ass was totally great. :)

He envisioned a cybernetic robot with red eyes surrounded by hellfire approaching him. That was the inspiration of the movie and he put that in there because it was the vision he saw in his sleep of how the world might end when the machines rose up.

This movie is really what showed Arnie's acting chops (the movie he did just before this one was Conan the Barbarian). To portray a terminator, you can't blink, can't flinch, can't show normal human reactions, etc while still also being able to sort-of blend in enough to not really be noticed until it's time to attack. That is a lot harder than it sounds as the actor (or actress in the case of Terminator 3 and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) has to walk the line of the uncanny valley. Special shout out to Robert Patrick who prepped for his role as the T-1000 in Terminator 2 by running 10 miles a day so he could do his foot chase scenes and he legit almost ran down John Connor's dirt bike. All while remaining stone faced and not showing fatigue.

Fun Fact: Lance Henriksen was originally intended for the role of Terminator. The background was that the Terminator should be an infiltration unit and therefore needs an average appearance in order not to attract attention in the midst of the enemy. Arnold Schwarzenegger is a lot ... but he is certainly not inconspicuous. In the final cut you can still see Henriksen in his role as a cop.

You're going to love "Terminator 2". I guarantee it. I saw this back in 1984, but it just occurred to me now that, from the moment John Conner met Kyle in the post apocalyptic future, John had to be setting him up with stories about how great Sarah was and with that picture to make sure Kyle would fall in love with her, get her pregnant and give his life for her. That is RUTHLESS! The survival of the human race is at stake, so I get it, but it's still ruthless. What you said about not messing with a big naked guy reminds me that a skinny naked guy was acting up in a subway station in my city a few years back, and everybody was keeping away from him. A video of the incident went viral, and comments were were criticizing people for not tackling the naked guy because he wasn't that big and obviously was armed, but seriously, who wants to wrestle with a naked guy?

nice reaction Devin, i have the Terminator 1 & 2 ultimate collection(w extras Tape) on VHS with a Holographic front cover with Arnie's signature, not actually signed by him(that would be amazing) but its in red text on the box alongside James Camerons signature

The part about her mother was that she wasn't aware that the Terminator can change their voices to be anything. For her it basically was as if she managed to get a break(which she did pretty much) and wanted to talk to her family.

Devin you should check out Conan the Barbarian, it's one of Arnold's best movies. And if you like fantasy adventure, with swords, mythical creatures, like me. Then you'll love it.

I recommend you check out Commando. It's another good Arnold action movie.

Arnold's eye brows got synced in the fire when he chased Connor and then punched through the windshield to grab her. I believe the look was intentional to make him look more menacing like a Frankenstein monster. -OG
