To add, Arthur's first weapon, the original sword in the stone, was the predecessor to Excalibur. Other sources call it Caliburn but Caliburn in some translations is just Excalibur. Regardless, this unnamed sword was broken and replaced by Excalibur, given by the Lady in the Lake.

Don't know if anyone else mentioned it but 'Grond' is the name of a couple things from Lord Of The Rings. The first being the hammer that Morgoth (The First Dark Lord or otherwise known the OG Sauron) uses during the first age which is also known as the Hammer Of The Underworld. Really cool lore there seeing as its made from HELLstone. Also Grond is the massive battering ram that breaks the gate of Minis Tirath during the siege which takes place during the Return Of The King. I love how this looks but i want to give my take on how i would have handled the concept while still keeping the 3 subclass things that this has now Resources: instead of blocks and bashes i would change it to a parry count and a rune charge (explanation in shield and rune changes) Hammers: they attack the same as in this and generates 1 parry charge when hitting with later ones giving 2 on a max charge hit if both of your resources are full (parry and rune charge) and you have a rune active the hammer gains a super move based on what hammer your using. Shields: function very similar (using a parry charge instead of block)to now but instead deal damage back instantly instead of needing a separate press with some having bonus effects for hitting the button as you get hit. Also when you successfully bock a attack you gain a rune charge Runes: these get what i think is the biggest change when you use a rune you use all charges and gain temp hp depending on the rune and the ammout of charges you had when using it. the effects of the rune are active as long as you have that shield (this is to encourage you to use your blocks and dodges more than already as you want to keep this shield around especially to get hammer supers off) these effects can be anything from the same orbitals as now to the chlorophite one increasing life regen while active maybe the crimson makes you taunt enemies and gives your damage resist and lifesteal while the corruption makes you teleport a short distance on parry to get away from the enemy if your playing solo
