Not just humans, our cousins - chimps, are just as bad on average as the worst of humans, at their normal. They're essentially less developed tribal humans with no morality and no little voice in the back of their head telling them "be good, or else..." to hold them back whenever something cruel crosses their minds. It's fascinating really. You can literally pinpoint where our capacity of cruelty and malice first emerged - somewhere after the Gorillas emerged, but before chimps branched out from out common ancestor species.

Cheers for the vid. I love gorillas, they are such amazing animals and so powerful! An adult gorilla would definitely take down a leopard in a fight, possibly even a lion. Male gorillas take down younger male gorillas and push them out the troop to avoid competition. This seems to be a common practice amongst a lot of mammalian species including lions.👍

At {2:45 sec.} It gives the average weight of the male gorilla in LBS which is 370-380lbs then right next to that in brackets tells us what that comes to in kg & it says 367-372kg. Now 380lbs does not equal 372kg it's actually 172.3kg

A 185 pound leopard mauled a 312 pound adult male gorilla in a cage fight at Liberty Lake, it's very well documented. Look up 'black panther kills gorilla' and you'll find multiple reports from separate news outlets. While 312 pounds isn't a large male gorilla, it was a straight up fight & the leopard won. With an ambush it's hardly out of the realms of possibility a leopard can kill a 350+ pound silverback. Gorillas have skin anchored tightly to the underlying tissue, like human skin. Poor protection against an animal with razor sharp claws & teeth. That's part of the reason leopards have success against them despite the size difference. Big cats & bears have loose skin which protects them in fights & hunts.
