A couple weeks ago, I had a nightmare that Trump was stabbing me in the back of the head. It seemed logical at the time, so far as dreams can be, but the whole election process and the aftermath especially seem to be having literal health effects on us as a ppl. My immediate concern is of the die hard Trump supporters. Maybe the media just put the camera on them more, but it would seem like it's open season now on Muslims, immigrants, homosexuals, minorities, women, etc. Trump never spoke of the video being taken of his supporters. He never told his people to be bigger than that. The only time I heard him actually reach out in any way was during his acceptance speech. I'm concerned about our reputation now to the world. This used to be the place people wanted to come for acceptance and opportunity. Now it's "Stay out. We don't want you." Who knows what's going to happen with the environment. Once that's gone, what else matters. Our climatologists and environmental scientists are largely government subsidized. What happens when we don't have anymore scientists in these fields? We will no longer be a leader on these fronts. So many questions.

There have been times throughout these 40 episodes of The Closer that I been brought to tears partially with joy that Mr. Olbermann has an outlet for his brilliant commentary and tears and sadness that he is relegated to the backwaters of KZbin rather than a major cable network. He concluded not with his typical "watch this space" farewell but with an ominous and appropriate "watch your back". But I hope the lack of the "watch this space" does not mean that we will not be seeing more of him moving forward. I know that it was the bizarre election cycle that we have just endured which brought him out of retirement/exclusion to again share his wit and wisdom with the world. My hope is that he continues in this venue or some other to speak out about the values which we should hold dear. I will continue to watch this space and hope that there is more to see.
