In 20 years time, that Plaid will be on its third battery swap, costing $30k by then, which no 17 year old will be able to afford. Not to mention that the flash memory will be completely corrupted by then, the screens yellow or not functioning, and most of the other electronics probably not functioning by then. This is not the kind of car that will last 20 years. They are designed for 5 years. The door handle presenter motors will probably not even make it to 5 years. These are disposable cars.

My favorite thing about a Model S (and X) in general (besides it’s insane speed), is it has such a cool augmented reality gauge cluster, that shows every small car, SUV, motorcycle, truck, and everything in its respective lane. ITS SO COOL! And also because, they usually have physical buttons.

Makes me think back to my first car, an 89 Mercury Topaz! Times have changed. It’s bittersweet to me because the absence of technology allowed us to communicate better, be outside all the time and just dig our teeth into nature. I’m not saying we’re doomed but smart people limit tech. We’ve seen where smart homes can burden people and I wonder how long until cars are limited via tech by big government. Great review though, lol.

Problems with Tesla Model S Plaid: 1. Turning indicator needs it's own lever 2. Windshield vipers also need it's own lever 3. Needs manual knobs for volume, fan speed and temperature control 4. Needs buttons for standard functions like rearview window heater, seat heaters and ventilation, inside air circulation etc. 5. Needs a horn in the center of the steering yolk 6. Needs a manual direction control lever/thing for ventilation outlets 7. (This is the MOST important thing) Needs a better quality control from the factory!!! Otherwise a good car

A friend of mine let me drive his Model S Plaid and it literally is a massive gut punch on the acceleration going 0-60 in 1.9 seconds. It is an even better experience than just a straight line 0-60 or 0-200. Best experience I had was coming around a river valley bend at 50 ft and banking hard left over a random fishing boat.

Yes thats what I think they thought was that. if in an emergency situation they don't want you to hit the Airbag so just in case you don't break your hand and limit dangers. Yet, I see why its controversial they still have a few things to change but. I heard that they can just put the palm on the horn and it will sound just like pushing the "horn"

Great video - the plaid is a little over the top for me though! Quick question - what's that canyon road you test on? I live in the area and would like to check it out!

For me my limit is around 3.5 seconds anything faster than that is legit scary lol. Too much car for the road haha

He usually goes on Modjeska Grade Rd off of Santiago Canyon Rd in Modjeska Canyon. It's accessible from the South via El Toro Rd (which becomes Santiago Cyn Rd) in Lake Forest or from the North via Chapman Ave/Jamboree Rd in Orange (or off of the 241/261 toll roads). I used to live in the area as well, and I've driven through there, it's a fun drive!

@@FlightX101 on the Plaid if you drive it in Sport Mode it does 0-60 around 3.5 sec. and 1/4 mile around 11.2 sec which is still fast as heck but for me I always keep it in Plaid Mode for that insane acceleration it never gets old 🤙🏽

i like a controller to use the infotainment. Without a controller on the centre console the infotainment screen becomes a fingerprint magnet
