hey folks so some of you have noticed there's about a minute of audio in this vid that sounds a little crusty around the 17 minute mark, that's because of a scammer stealing Louie Zong's music under different names with AI cover art and filing illegitimate copyright claims... I got hit with the shrapnel from it and had to use youtube's auto-scrub-away-a-copyrighted-song feature! please feel free to go report them en masse because surely they're breaking many KZbin rules at once here. kzbin.info/door/ONiPw8gwftk2pOJCAzX0qA (here's the real Louie Zong's channel in case anyone needs a life changer) www.youtube.com/@everydaylouie also to everyone saying I didn't get Portal because you saw the "Test Chamber" sign in Boneworks, I forgive you because I have deep empathy for those lower on the bell curve of Game Knowing. namaste.

"Being a Fire Emblem fan must rock." The whole series is infamously extremely polarizing by fans from entry to entry. In a way it's hell because the series changed dramatically in 2012 and hasn't been the same since. But it's identity crisis dates back all the way to the 90's when the series creator left Intelligent Systems and the tone ranges from dark and gritty adult fantasy to wacky saturday morning cartoon. As the old saying goes, no one hates Fire Emblem more than Fire Emblem fans.

There's a nice meta trick for the first picture. If it shows absolutely NOTHING, like it's just an ordinary skybox or something, then it's probably an iconic game like a Mario or a DarkSoul. Ask yourself "why did they think they couldn't show any more of this game without giving it away?". You'll still have to guess based on the zoomed in single blade of grass, but you won't need to recall every blade of grass from every game in existence, only from the top 100 games of all time. Conversely, if the first picture is a wide shot of a field with trees and buildings, that's not Zelda. It's a relatively obscure game because they knew they could show much more without making it obvious.

But they always explain it in the time setting of the game. They never mention the overall sci fi stuff. I once saw a meme and it was like the assasins creed equivalent of Adam and Eve running from aliens and when people said it was assasins creed I didn’t believe them. I cannot express enough how despite how big assasins creed was and how much info of it was shown and given to me. The main plot of the games somehow never got shown or came up in any convo and it was just genuinely the biggest shock of my life. I just can’t comprehend how I missed it. It’s almost like gathering bits and pieces of what Star Wars is but because you never seen the movies in full the info you were given somehow after a whole lifetime left out you knowing what the Jedi or the force is

i play this on a competitive level with my friends, we have streaks well above in the 100s so it's nice to see somebody just casually enjoying this game lmao

Me and at least 3 other people I know could recognize Xenoblade 3 from the first image and I don’t know whether to feel good or bad about that.

I didn't, but I guessed Xenoblade Chronicles from the second picture, so I would have guessed 3 in time (especially with how it obviously wasn't X)

I've never felt more in sync with a human being than whenever I shouted "Donkey Kong Country" at the exact same time, in the exact same cadence as whenever you said it. Also, great video, always love whenever you upload.

This interests me a lot. It's incredible how many tiny things you unconsciously remember after playing a game for so long. I saw a picture of some floating mountain and I could tell you exactly WHERE in xenoblade 3 that was despite my lack of interest in that area.

Not the best start when he is trying to guess a warhammer 40k game due to space stuff and choose _vermintide._

To be fair, not like he knows jack shit about Warhammer. Most people don't know that Warhammer has both fantasy and sci-fi, they'd probably only really know one of the two if even that.

Absolutely loving this. There's something so great about watching someone play this who plays a pretty wide variety of games but there just being so much you still aren't sure about because there is just so much out there. Pretty incredible. Things like you getting Pokemon on your fourth guess while being able to get Jazz Jackrabbit on your third perfectly encapsulates why I love all the different personalities on KZbin.
