I think the first point is wrong, because mgs4 is a game just for fans, the ones that don't give a shit about the well known MGS marathonic cutscenes. And all those action sequences are made to be nostalgic, being the end of Solid Snake's saga.

Liquid intentionally didn't take the PAL card from Baker. He wanted Snake to get it and figure out how it works after Ocelot accidently kills the Darpa chief before getting his code. Don't know about the disc though, Baker probably did hide it up his arse.

You probably shouldn't reference Red Letter Media out of the blue like that, or at all really. The joke only worked with RLM because the reviewer is a character who is criminally insane, so it makes sense that he'd make that sort of error. You, on the other hand, did nothing to establish it as a joke and instead just come off as someone who literally thinks that Gabe Newell is Hideo Kojima. I'm not upset or anything, I'm just giving you a helpful tip. ; D

DamageIncM In my opinion, the Metal Gear series has some of the best gameplay and presentation in the industry. MGS4 was incredibly flawed, probably because *Kojima actually didn't want to make 4*, but I still enjoyed it. But if you think MGS4 was "too anime" (which is kind of what makes the MG series great, it's utter ridiculousness and humour) then play MGS3. You can get the HD version of it on PS3 on it's own. It stems far away from the "anime" style (though still has fairly long cutscenes, they're not nearly as bad as 4) and goes for this 1960's spy movie parody thing going on. It also has possibly the best design of any video game I have ever played. There's multiple ways to approach every situation, whether you go for cheap stealth (tranq), straight up avoiding everyone, or just going rambo. It's also surprisingly in depth, which is generally the case for most MG games.

They made the PAL key thing a lot faster in the shitty Gamecube remake. You simply stick the key in steam then stick it in liquid nitrogen, both of which can be found by shooting pipes next to the control room.

The PAL key segment is definitely my least favorite as well. Primarily because of the backtracking. Getting the damn thing back from the mouse isn't fun either.
