Original Air Date: Thursday, April 6th, 1950
This rare recording features WBAL-AM personality Brent Gunts interviewing Moe Howard, Larry Fine and Shemp Howard.
The Stooges were making an appearance at Baltimore's Hippodrome Theater as part of an Easter show, and the interview was publicity for it. Also interviewed was the show's promoter.
I couldn't find this uploaded anywhere else online other than the WBAL website, so, here you are. Enjoy!

I loved hearing Shemp's voice. He was the most comical one of the bunch. I really loved him and watching him play his parts so well in their short films. Wished he would've lived longer. God bless his memory!!!

Man, what an interview this is! They all seemed so nice in real life; just regular guys. You can tell Larry loved talking to people and had a great sense of humor.

This is unusual, hearing the Three Stooges being interviewed on the air, especially hearing Shemp. I've watched their sketch on the Ed Wynn Show many a time. Too bad this interview wasn't any longer.

Thank you for posting! Great interview from the three stooges and it's fantastic to hear a little bit of Samuel's voice (Shemp), because I hadn't found any interview with him out of character, I just loved it! ❤

I loved hearing Shemp out of character!! This is the only time we probably got to hear him out of character and what he was like in real life. I heard he was a TRUE gentleman plus, very kind to his fans and generous in real life. :)

I've seen and heard Moe, Larry, Emil Sitka, and the two Joes talk out of character as older men in interviews during the 1970s, but hearing them in their prime doing some friendly verbal sparring is a real treat! I think this is the only time I've ever heard Shemp talk out of character. It gives a nice glance at what he was like in real life. Thank you for uploading this!

When the Stooges shorts aired on television, exposing them to a new generation, it gave their careers a shot in the arm and they learned to really love TV.

This was a couple of years before Curly died. I think he had lost his ability to speak at some point before he died after having numerous strokes. Curly was not much on doing interviews anyway. They said he was such an introvert that he barely spoke to anyone at all other than Moe and Larry when the cameras were not rolling and he supposedly only did one interview in his entire life.
