Dude, you said you lived in Alabama for one year and you said yourself, that you lived less than an hour away from Sylacauga, so how can you judge Sylacauga when you never lived there!?! You obviously didn't like Alabama and your judging the whole town by a few people you see on videos, TV or met while living there.(less than an hour away from Sylacauga, I might add). 🤦♀️ You also only showed a few places, where trash was beside the parking lot at Piggly wiggly and those are not the best sides of Sylacauga and the houses you showed are not the best, richest sides of town either. They are the more poor community's that you showed, with old houses, but you can see on that one building it said Jesus spray painted on it, so that person loves Jesus, so not gonna hate that. Would rather it say the name of Jesus, than have gang name or signs on that building. You just judging poor people. I was born and raised in Sylacauga and my family still lives there and we are going back home also, now that my kids are grown. People work hard and don't just drive people around for uber, to make a living. Everyone I know work their fingers to the bone, come home filthy and dusty and you can tell they work their butts off and yes, a lot work in the Marble Quarry, which you called a "hole in the ground". That big dusty "hole in the ground" is where people mine the ground, so you can get your marble for your fancy marble floors and cabinets to build in those beautiful Sarasota mansions. I am born and raised in Alabama and grew up in Sylacauga and my family are Scottish/irish Immigrants and American Indians, and we are not haters of diverse people in our town, just come in the right way and work hard like we do. I don't know anyone that is inbred in Sylacauga or has bed bugs..😂 Come on man, do better! 🤦♀️You're just using stereotypes right now to help you get views, because that's what y'all KZbinrs do. Unlike some people that you speak of, I have seen the world, lived in other countries, because we were a military family and retired in Tampa FL after 22 yrs of service, at MacDill AFB and where you live now is a place that I'm very familiar with because I've lived in the area for 12 yrs, and people could show bad parts of where you live and say the same thing where you are, but you're not showing that part, are you?!? There is dirty and trashy sides of your area also, and areas that I wouldn't dare step foot into and this Alabama girl, would have to carry a gun too in some of your area, but maybe you don't see that part of town or do you? All cities and towns have bad areas and trashy people in them, even in Sarasota. You also can't compare where you live to Sylacauga, and not understand why your area is growing, but Sylacauga is not. It's because you are living in Florida and of course it's growing and has more money. You have the ocean, tourist and snowbirds that are bringing their money to your area. Sylacauga doesn't have that, so you can not compare the two and it's stupid to try to compare the two. These are people that love their city, born and raised and don't want to leave, and they are struggling, because the minimum wage is $7.25 an hour and now prices are going up like they are every where else and now more people are being dropped in the city, to destroy it. We are literally fighting to keep our town alive and it is a poor community so we are over flowing and have no where to house our own people, let along new people that don't want to be there, but they were just dropped there and they don't even wanna be there. People in Sylacauga have to drive 35 minutes away or more to find a good paying job which is the reason that people have left Sylacauga, and we haven't grown like your area does, but I can tell you that people are coming back home now, so it's starting to grow again or it was. Yes, it's a country town, and let me tell you that burning trash is better than paying the prices of garbage and sending that garbage to landfills that just stacks up and over flow. Burning is definitely better for our Country and community, than letting it pile up in landfills, that don't go away, soo. You sound just as backwards as the people that you're making fun of, because you judge the whole town by the few that you knew after living in Bama for a year, and you didn't even live in Sylacauga, so why the hate!?! Yes, where you are living is beautiful, but like I said, you didn't go show the bad sides of that place. You mentioned the pan handle has issues, but it's not because they don't have Haitians, it's because they have lost a lot with every hurricane that they have and when the money doesn't come in a city, there is no growth. Your area has growth and it has nothing to do with Haitians, it has to do with the very rich, white snowbirds and tourist flooding into your area and bringing their money. Can't even compare the two. 😂 Also these crimes you speak of in Sylacauga, no one has heard of them. You said the homicide crime rate in Sylacauga is 21 per 100,000k. Our population is on 12,500 people, so.. 😅 We have more deaths from accidents on highway 280, from travelers speeding through, than anything. Tbh, it sounds like you are just trying to get Sarasota to pay you for this video, but honestly you making a video could make a difference to a poor country town like Sylacauga or you could hurt it, by doing what you are doing now. It is nothing like what you are saying and because people like you, they will never know. Like all cities and towns, we have our problems, but it's a great place, with great people who's families go back generations and they can't seem to catch a break because people are leaving to find more money and better jobs, so it has hurt the town. We don't have an ocean to fall back on, but we have the beautiful Appalachian mountains, Cheaha, lakes, creeks, hunting, fishing and such beautiful views, so you think what you want to. You will only see the truth, when you stop looking at Alabama with hate and stereotypes. Either way, I'm not hating on you. You do you, love everyone, be happy and God Bless!

Al of Alabama isn't like this. There are some wonderful people and lovely towns there. Sylcauga is one small rural area of the state. Also, when you're talking statistics, you have to remember a lot of numbers/ rates are based on the actual population #. I'm not at all defending Sylcauga, as it is what you say for the most part. It's ironic. Long-time residents of Sylacauga are complaining about third world immigrants while the city itself has already been facing the same issues as third-world countries: de-industrialization, extreme wealth concentration, underinvestment in public services, the brain drain of young, educated people, expensive healthcare inaccessible to most of its citizens (Coosa Valley Medical Center is the largest employer), environmental degradation and the lack of economic diversity.

Just like Jose said, in case y’all don’t know what’s going on in the U.S…. They’re replacing the slave labor here with a massive movement of immigrants. Get use to it

Checkout other Republican run states and counties. Then compare them to Democratic states and counties.

What kind of monsters do this to their fellow citizens - Haitian Vodou is zombification, which revives the recently dead into mindless, soulless zombies. As part of the vodou religion, the bokors (Haitian vodou sorcerers) have the power to create and control zombies.

Wrong. My husband went on mission trips to Haiti. Haiti is horrible. I lived in a third world country. It's dirty, stinks, and the people are so poor. Until you've been in a third world country, you have NO clue. This town in AL is not even close.

So the French didn’t bring AFRICANS over to Haiti as SLAVES. Then why did you have your get your independence? Am I missing something.

Really atrocious how the Haitians are being targeted. I have worked beside them for DECADES in S.FLA and they are the most hardworking people with often 2-3 jobs. I am grateful for the exceptional care they provide in senior care, restaurant' kitchen's, ETC and from experience 2 of the BEST damn car mechanics I ever had were of Haitian descent. Now, that being said....betcha IF the immigration was coming from Ireland, England etc they'd be rolling out the red carpet for THEM 😅

LOL truth is though is both places can be trash LOL and both people can be gross with cultural things like eating rats and cats or being hillbillies. In reality both things can and usually are true.

So import new voters? Is that the answer? The refugee endangered Haitians are at risk but they have been primed on who they must vote for. Replace non voter white with voting refugee Haitians?

2 min into the video and I can tell two things. You haven’t traveled much and that you’re not as familiar with Sylacagua as much as you say. The way you say Sylacagua tells me that😂 and while it is trashy I’ve been to much much worse state side. Don’t get mad and talk trash on a whole group bc one pissed you off. However, the woman was definitely in the wrong. She should’ve kept her mouth shut and went back to her double wide.

Alabama could use the help down there with the hard-working Haitian community... And furthermore other nationalities and people from other communities make any community more abundant with food music philosophies and ideas... Shame on US

A long time coming. I'm so happy for the sundown towns. When I was younger, I was always pulled over in those towns. The Haitians are putting a smile on my face 😊
