Well done TSS! I have an interesting story to tell, having heard it from the horse´s mouth, my uncle Alasdair Provan. It appears that non British born athletes were looked down upon at a few upper class clubs in London. Alasdair had to thrash a couple of snobs and join a bunch of "colonials" to co-found a non-discrimination sculling school. And so TSS came to be in 1957! In 2003 he refounded competitive rowing at Tigre Boat Club, in Argentina, where he rowed in his early twenties, coached by prestigious Eric Phelps. Over the next 10 years TBC achieved 48 National Championships.
