Yup! I’ve been watching David since I was in my freshmen year of high school, now I’m going to grad school. Everything that David is in involved with I’ve supported for the most part because he is a genuine person I enjoy listening to and always brings a smile and laugh . Thank you David for being a creator and an artist

It's actually pretty crazy to me that I actually have been watching you since I was like, 11/12 LMAOOO Here I am, half way through college now. I've been here for almost a decade, but I rarely leave comments. However, I just wanted to say thank you for doing what you do. You've helped me A LOT over the years with developing confidence, healing my relationship with my parents, and just life in general.

I remember when my sister first showed me your UCLA video and we were dying laughing. Now over a decade later i'm driving and listening to all your podcasts and it feels like we grew up together in a sense. You've done so many amazing things with your life David. I'll always be a fan and I only wish for your continued success and happiness and Hopefully get the chance to see you do stand up in person!

During the time of living in an emergency homeless shelter, I over heard staff and a new resident speaking- Staff: "what do you want to do in the future?" New res: "I want to be an influencer." Staff: "Ambitions are important but what about work, do you have a job?" New res: "I post on Instagram and balling with 1k followers!" Very next day kid got discharged. That last bit might be irrelevant? Btw been watching you since JKF's Pay Back; back when still living with abusers, and still watching after paying my first room rental. Your podcast of just shooting the shit with friends, discussing life stories and desplaying hindsight really helped. Keep being you, much love from Canada.

I truly have been watching David So since I was around 12-13? I’m going to be 26 in September. When David So and JKfilms came to my state, Minnesota, and performed at the UofM in the middle of winter, I was so sad I couldn’t go because I think I was still in highschool, broke, couldn’t afford a ticket + they didn’t allow minors on campus…I’ve always been hoping to see David and JKfilms perform in person somehow. David, we fans out of state truly appreciate the content you create, if just you, or you and JK, can come back to MN, that’ll be so great! But of course, not in the middle of winter, must’ve been hard for you since you’re a Cali native. But I don’t know if you felt it was worth it since it’s a bit far out and our scene is definitely less popping than California Anyways, I’m still very sure people here will show up for you since we’ve been watching you for over a decade! And a lot of your fans here now are definitely now old enough to get into your shows! Edit: not that I wouldn’t come to Cali to see David, or JK, but it’s hard if you don’t do shows

I believe I started watching your contect back in 2014 or 13. The vidcon thing, however, someone made a video giving some context about her specific situation. And basically long story short, her meet and greet wasn't prioritized or promoted by vidcon, even though they told her she would have a meet and greet slot. It seems like if her fans were told about it, they weren't told where she would be (best case scenario) or her meet and greet just wasn't promoted, which is unfortunate bc she hand made gifts for them.

I don't think I'd ever what to be famous on social media. The work and the unstableness of it (edit #2: I meant 'instability')... No no no no 😬 edit: I agree with David on the scroll content vs longer content. I still keep up with my old school KZbinrs but I'm not really into the TikTokers. No hate; I just lose interest with the short clip kind of content.
@npcimknot9582 жыл бұрын
Unstable is the word. You can bec famous for a few seconds.. but you better take that opportunity and catch it and get loyalty than trend worthy. Streaming is a really good example. People watch peple for hours. And theyr’e loyal asf.. if you look at kpop, jpop etc.. its very very very long term.. especailly jpop.
@Riquezmann2 жыл бұрын
@@npcimknot958 Thanks for the correction. Yeah I agree! Man it takes mad work to get loyal followers and such. My main worries with being a social media celebrity is compromising my privacy and freedom. Some fans (and haters) take it too far and invade personal space. In addition to that, social media influencers capitalize on their daily lives. If I had to record everything that happens to me I feel that I would lose the freedom to just live. It reminds me of when David shared his proposal video. It was something intimate and private. It was so sweet and so normal I enjoyed watching it. I believe David shared it on his own terms but I'm sure there are other influencers that have this pressure to over share. That pressure plus the work of filming, editing, planing, etc. just doesn't sound like something I would want or could handle. I think it's a profession that is a lot harder than what it looks.

4:46. I haven't watched David's blogs since I was 12. It was more like since I was 13. The first vlog that I watched from his channel was Vlog #69: Cheaters! I think ever since then along with vlog #74, I've been watching your stuff consistently (including his very first vlog) and constantly from 2012. I just turned 24 last week and it's been a minute knowing that I've been a fan of yours for more than ten years! I still remember when I met David again at the Korean festival with Tim (I think that you guys were done recording and I was literally behind y'all) and to see and watch his social media grow because a lot of the core fans were with him then and we still with him now is the reason why is David's social media is what it is. SM these days fluctuates a lot and being a newcomer and trying to gain followers and popularity is not the same it was 10+ years ago. I can only see David getting even more popular because a lot of the things that he does stays true to himself and that's why we're still here. 😀

Supposedly from what happened to that tiktoker who had no one visit her was that vidcon didn't communicate where she was being placed till the day of. So because she wasn't being told where she would be, she couldn't tell her followers where to find her except that she'll be at vidcon. Another was that the area she was given was practically in an area with less foot traffic because the spots with traffic were given to folks who had way more clout. Yeah, she got screwed on communication and location but at the same time, there's a difference of followers between tiktok and KZbin. You're totally right David, tiktok's just a scroll and go. If she was smart, she would've used other platforms to advertise her ass off to get people to see her.

The realism and reliability David brings with his comedy is just such a perfect combination. He just stays true to himself, and I believe we appreciate that the most. That's why I've always tried my best to support all the endeavors David puts out whether it was skits/commentary videos, GFB, ScrtSociety, Gook, Junbi, Drips, this podcast, M&Gs, his shows, etc. We appreciate quality and integrity.
