I think most people can agree that they can get on their own nerves sometimes. Anytime someone does something that they themselves perceived as a stupid thing to do (they're not-at-all necessarily a stupid person, they just probably did something without thinking too much about it in the moment; these two things simply aren't the same thing, everyone, including people on the level of Einstein's intelligence, have done some pretty stupid things in their lives). Doc was likely being 100% genuine about him getting on his own nerves every once-in-a-while, and I really respect that level of honesty and self-awareness. TL;DR Everyone makes mistakes, and everyone does stupid things sometimes, so everyone likely gets on their own nerves sometimes. I respect Doc being honest and Self-aware about it.

I know people always throw around “underrated comment” but dude this comment is the epitome of that. So I wear skater clothes. Always have since I was like in the 4th grade. When I was that young my mom bought me new clothes shoes etc… from a skate shop cause I started gettin into skateboarding, Tony hawk at the time. A teachers aide, a girl, said oh I love your outfit you look so cute. That moment still lives on in me. I’ve never forgotten that. I’m 32 years old and I still wear skate clothes and that’s it lol

@@like10smurfs. had a really good female friend that gave an obviously genuine compliment about my shirt when I was a late teen or so. It remained one of my favorite shirts to wear, that I always took care of until, easily, more than 10-15 years later when it had become so faded and some of the material got worn so thin that the material finally just gave out. Since I’d always taken good care of it because of that, it still looked fine even as it faded so much. Starting out something like a Coral color button up shirt and ended around more of a light peachy pink. It gathered one other memorable compliment from a stranger over its lifetime that also gave a little boost. I’m sure some people look at that and think it’s stupid or silly but it’s true. You never know when something so small could really stick with someone and make a memorable moment.

As a woman I think you’ve got it all wrong. I have never forgotten the genuine compliments I’ve received and sometimes they’re all I’ve got to remind myself I’m worthwhile. It’s a human thing - not a male versus female thing. I do hope complimenting men more often continues to be normalized though. We all thrive when we’re recognized for our gifts and hard-one skills.

@lasthumankind I'd say far from a break down... I'm sure we've all seen an actual emotional break down, but we all got different options. But I don't think its necessarily about anything going on at home, as much as hearing all your hard work that you put into something paying off, especially if you may have been having a bit of doubt from seeing negative comments like he tested him with by saying "he can be a little annoying" probably fully expecting to hear something like "yeah maybe a little, but..." but hearing a random person telling you how much they appreciate you and what you do is a pretty emotional thing to some people, especially to creative people, artist, and even perfectionists... A genuine random acknowledgement and or praise is kinda hard to come across nowadays let alone on the internet, let alone in a fps game lobby. Either way it's still pretty cool and refreshing to see some real emotion from the people we watch on here. Definitely made me respect him a little more for sure. ✌🏾

Coming from someone who hated them self for a long time. I feel like that's what made him emotional. The silence after hearing this random saying he loves him, I feel like I can pick up on some disdain behind "The DOC", and the opportunity he gave the stranger to take back what they said. I know for me I'd hear nice things about me and absolutely tear myself down for it. Just completely (mentally) beat my inner self into a corner. He didn't believe the random. I think he put himself down and then under anonymity gave an opportunity to the random to say "yeah he isn't all that", but instead received positivity and support. It's such a conflicting feeling. To be loved and accepted where you've convinced yourself otherwise. It feels so nice to not be hated, to hear something nice when a monster is whispering in your ear, and it's scary because you'll beat yourself up later for it.

It'll take immense work and support to change, but there will come a time when you're fed up. A line in the sand gets drawn. Maybe the line is made under pressure and maybe it's made with love and support. You have to sit him down and cut through the redirections, the excuses, the shame, and let him know that whatever is holding them down you want to know about it. You want to listen and you want to help. You want to help them become the person they wish they were, because you love and accept them for who they are. The world is ours. Let's make it enjoyable. Men will only ever get unconditional love from their family, IF EVEN. Many men would feel the exact way hearing this from a stranger.

Do you realise that "being family" is a condition fulfilled? Hence its not unconditional love?

There’s only one person who explained how loneliness feels. It’s not that you don’t have anyone it’s that nobody has you and you know that’s a tough hole to dig out of and anyone going through that I have you and I’m here for you.
