Praise the Lord. I am also on my natural and spiritual journey. I threw away all my colored make up and kept the natural tones. But I haven't used them since. I actually noticed my skin got better. Clearer. More beautiful. Everyone compliments me. I am always on time for church and to go out. I also threw out my jewelry. I feel so light. And it seems like it was never there. I am now noticing my beauty is me and not what I wear

I’m not against any woman who doesn’t wear makeup intact I always encourage Natural beauty but the fact that a wicked woman wore makeup isn’t a concrete reason to condemn using of makeup because in 2 kings 9:30, the wicked woman Jezebel also tied her hair, dressed to seduce the prophets but we don’t condemn tying of hair, or wearing of clothings..
@JesusIsGod-TOG5 ай бұрын
Make up is paint and is wrong in the eyes of God. The scripture said you shouldn’t put no cut or paint in your body. Also jezebel was also condemned by her looks and her deeds, not only that she was also called a prostitute. Also all that happens to Jezebel was the fulfillment of God word. 2 kings 19:36-37 36 Wherefore they came again, and told him. And he said, This is the word of the LORD, which he spake by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel: 37 And the carcase of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel; so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel. Leviticus 19:28 28 Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.

I don't wear jewellery also like chains & rings but wud wear a wedding ring as men are looking at u & may thing u are available. If u not got a band on. It's matrimony the bishop that's does the wedding . Need the wedding ring to bless them I 🤔 think It's up to u if u don't want to wear them but its not a sin. To wear them. Every 1 is trying to be holy on these petty things god will guide u 🙏 to walk ✅️ right if u ask the lord whot he thinks & not do whot u think. He loved u anyway regardless but will guide u in all truth the bible says. Sorry to go on. U are beautiful & ur hair to & ur personality to once sum1 told me I shud'nt relax my hair as a Christian. I✝️ was thinking its not right. But I prayed about it ; god gave me the answer it was ok or I can have natural hair but it wasn't detrimental to my faith walk. Christ emphasized that as the simple expectations of God from His Children. I see a lot of people who practice this makeup free, jewelry free lifestyle, yet are one of the most selfish, hateful people still. hey charity, thank you for the video. I don’t wear makeup and jewelry as well for some of the reasons you mentioned. for jewelry, God made it seem like a “good” think when he was describing how he took care of Jerusalem in Ezekiel 16: 9-13 and doesn’t regard it as a sin in that sense but can you please clarify this??
@troyalfred2 жыл бұрын
Hey sis, Jewelry of itself isn't sinful, if you read the old testament, can't remember the book but I think it was Exodus, where God was telling Moses how He should build His tabernacle and the other things. Do you know what was used to help build it, the Jewelry of the people, whether gold or silver, when the molten calf was built by Aaron, it was again the people Jewelry that they had one. Now before they committed that sin, Jewelry of itself was good, because God Him told them to collect them, men and women wore earrings in those days, there was never a law given where they shouldn't wear it. However, people use Jewelry for vain and evil reasons. So the purpose is what is more important, why are you wearing it? Is it so you can draw attention and be seductive? Or is just a simple ring like a wedding ring to just indicate that you're married and you're not free. That's important. So to me, there is no fixed position on this, one has to know their aim and purpose behind wearing it. Remember even the temple, new Jerusalem, was adorned as a bride adorned herself for her husband, when you read how it is adorn, you'll see it had all manner Jewelry on it. And the Bible would never use something that is sinful to describe what is holy and acceptable to God. So again, it's about your purpose behind using it. Hope this help a little. God bless sister.

I go to deeper life as well! I am 17 and my mom and the church did not raise my sisters and I up to be wearing makeup, jewelry (rings, necklaces, earings, and things like that). But the thing is, based on how Christianity is viewed in America, I tend to like jewelry especially necklaces. I don't think anything is wrong with it because there are strong Christians outside that wear it. But there are times where a bride from deeper life (in my district) wears makeup on her wedding or a woman we know has attachment on her hair and when i ask my mom about it, she just says "is that your standard???" in a voice that I am just complaining for no reason. Nobody also seems to care about it but when a younger person wears it, everyone will start shouting at the child, even the one that ware the makeup or the jewelry. But the thing is, their not my standard but they are the ppl that I am supposed to look up to. If they are wearing it, what do they think other younger girls will do. I just feel like there are people that don't practice what they preach and its kind of annoying.
@MrsCharityUmar6 ай бұрын
Hmm, thanks for sharing! I would encourage you to look unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). I agree with your mom that human beings are not the standard but Christ is. We must identify and understand our calling as believers and the specific path the Lord would have us walk and trust His grace as the enabling power to sustain us on that path irrespective of what others are doing or not doing - I remind myself of this often especially recently.

I am also a Deeper Life member, I joined this church when I was 18, God has been my helper. I also passed through the university, being mocked then, yet the Grace of God was and is still very sufficient. I believe every teaching from our pastor,W.F. Kumuyi as I have confirmed most of his teaching with the bible and those that have near death experience. I don't copy or emulate people. Looking unto Jesus should be your standard, not church members. I know that some Deeper Life members use Brazillian wool, and some little make-up here and there. The question is this, who is your model? Some young mothers these days use attachment on their little daughters' hair. My kind counsel. Make Jesus your standard. Always consult the holy spirit before you do anything. God's standard is the same for all races and for all countries. No one can change it. Go and listen to Near Death Experience Testimonies, You will remove the necklaces, rings and all forms of attachments.

Interesting video. I may have to listen again, but where in the video did you state you asked God if that’s what he wanted for you personally. I heard a lot of I don’t because that’s how I was raised, that’s what I saw and that’s what I am being taught by way of the congregation. I say all that to say one must have a personal relationship and conviction about these things and not just go along like sheep not challenging potentially wrong interpretations. Also, unfortunately I see some judgements in the comments wrong judgements in the comments almost looking down on women who wear makeup for the ones who don’t, but don’t see that in the reverse. Maybe that is a reflection of their being a heart matter to address and legalism. In all things do it to the glory of God.

I don’t believe there is anything wrong with trying to cover up a acne scar with a bit of concealer. Or dark under eye circles. Those things happen to our face due to pollution, food we eat, stress, disease etc. I wasn’t born with acne scars/ skin issues. I’m still the same person with concealer, I’m not changing the features God gave me. God looks at your heart not outwardly appearance. The intent behind wearing makeup is what is important and what God looks at.
@MEAJJEKL2 жыл бұрын
Are you aware of the ingredients in make up?? Using make up to cover up acne scars or dark under eye circles is like trying to put out a fire with wood. Research some of the ingredients. Many of these companies put very evil things in concealer and eye shadow, and every other make up product you can think of. There are too many natural alternatives that will give you healthy and lasting results for make up to still be considered an option. God looks at your intentions yes, but He will also warn you when you're destroying yourself with those good intentions. Many people have such an attachment to the things of this world that they would actually argue with the word of God without even realizing it, just to defend a practice that was literally taught to humans by demons! Yes, the practice of using make up was taught to women by DEMONS who rebelled against God and came down to earth to mate with and CORRUPT humans. But God isn't concerned with that?? STUDY YOUR BIBLE SISTERS! We will have no excuses when called into judgment because God does warn us. I know this can't be the first time all of you have heard make up being condemned, so instead of loving it so much that you would blindly adhere to the practice, consider looking into why people are warning against it.

Hi Charity 😊 I find it very difficult to go without earrings and wearing pants. I look like a boy naturally so wearing earrings make me look like a woman that I am 🤭 As for trousers; I highly prefare them more than dresses bcs I have big legs which are very attractive and very big curves are too much revealed in dresses than trousers. Because most of the times I wear beggy trousers so beggy dresses make me look like a nun (A Roman Catholic Sister)

Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. I agree that at Creation everything God made Was good until sin entered the world! How many chemicals are we as women are putting on our faces. Our skin is the biggest organ we have. Look at the ingredients, less is more. Shea butter, coconut oil, Oliver oil. Like food, one ingredient . If you can’t pronounce it or know what it is, it probably should not go on the body. Remember, if you still choose to wear makeup, often less is more. Recently I saw a report about how young girls hate themselves because they are on social platforms looking at what seems to be someone who is “perfect”. It’s an illusion, otherwise it wouldn’t take hours to paint on the face or photoshop. Women who believe that wearing makeup is not a necessity should encourage young girls with self esteem and let them know they are Enough!

I wish I knew not to wear makeup 💄 I messed up my face I’m 36 now & make up was worn in my high school years every day and I suffer from huge pores nasty breakouts and discoloration of my skin my self esteem was very low and I always thought I was ugly 😢now I feel even more ugly because what the makeup has truly done to my skin I even have rosacea pimples now more than I did as a teen I teach my daughters to never ever wear.
