I was there. It was a few days before the New Year 1984 if not mistaken; also on that night was Gary Shandling. Ed McMahon spoke to the guest next to us, but my brother thought Ed spoke to him. Ed clarified, "no, not you sir", and my bro sat back down. That was my bro's 15 seconds right there
