I'm not even a huge Fallon fan now a days. But, he has been doing a nightly show for over a decade. Saying he has "good fallon days" & "bad fallon days" is not news. That's just being a human being. There was no physical abuse or severe mental manipulation. Just sounds like some hurt feelings every once in a while. What we should do in a community is talk to each other when we feel wronged and figure out how we can work together more amicably. We shouldn't be flinding ways to cancel each other over something like this. Also the reporter seemed so happy that she got a response from someone like Seinfeld after exaggerating that cue card story. Like she was excited to get the attention of someone so famous.

Notice the journalist herself didn’t seem phased that she’s been accused of a hit piece approach to her work. Didn’t defend herself, just whatever. If you can’t berate (and by that I mean telling them they messed up, not being cruel, but being angry at incompetence) someone for messing up a job, if you have to ensure there’s never any problems and that work must be one big joy fest then you’re not living in the real world. In factories, corporate world, anywhere in fact that people work, you’ll find some folk who aren’t happy. It’s called life. Do I like Fallon? No I don’t. I just don’t watch his show and live my life.

as someone who works in TV in NYC, you're walking on egg shells on almost every set you work on because you know there are 100 other people just a text message away who can replace you on the next job. Its not toxic, its competitive. Yes, that make for a stressful and uncomfortable workplace sometimes but that's just the industry. If you dont feel that pressure, you're not very good at your job and you won't last long.

Not knowing anything about this situation, but with several decades of film and television work experience, I don’t buy the way this is being presented. Jimmy Fallon may have acted and done all of the things alleged, but it would have been in a very limited circle of elite producers, writers, and “handlers” who always are there happily placing them selves in a position of power by surrounding the “star” and demanding that all communication to and from that person filters through them. Those people are EQUALLY responsible for the “toxic” work environment in every way, because, at the very least, they are the ones disseminating it to department heads and production staff. It would be unprecedented to think that Jimmy Fallon was day to day directly managing or supervising any of them.

Listen, I am by no means a fan of Jimmy Fallon. I don't find him funny and his constant fake laughter during his interviews is painful to watch. With that said, ever since the start of the pandemic in 2020, it seems like cancel culture has taken on a life of its own. I'm not saying victims shouldn't be provided a platform to speak up if there are sinister things happening to them behind closed doors. However, the idea that someone can have everything taken away from them at the hands of anonymous sources or scorned ex coworkers is extremely unsettling. This has created a rather dangerous blueprint for society as well. The celebrities getting canceled have endless amounts of wealth to fall back on. Everyday people don't have that luxury and may lose everything as a consequence of getting canceled. Johnny Depp's trial should at least encourage people to take everything with a grain a salt before jumping to conclusions.

What i don't understand is that people aren't even considering how hard it is for Jimmy too. If something happens in the show that were unprecedented then it is pointed towards jimmy, basically stars are the ones who always takes the hit on set when something goes wrong. So yes, the dream job that people are complaining about needs to have standards that could often be described as stressful which could develop into a toxic environment. All Jobs have stressful and toxic environments and that usually is difficult to overcome considering the high standards we have in order to impress or make people satisfied. It was good of a person for jimmy to apologize for it and take the blame but people nowadays don't take apologies as sincere because of our own apologetic standards, we in our generation do what it takes to bring people down until they are beneath us which needs to stop. We watch jimmy and whenever we watch it only creates higher standards bit by bit in order to be satisfied with the show, so basically we are also at fault for this. It's business and we're the ones who are feeding the problem. Sorry for the explanation, i just had to put some of my thoughts into this because nowadays the world is hella disturbing for me. Wishing everyone peace and love ❤

@@annunakian8054 If he was a "bit insecure" he wouldn't have stepped up and took a job he couldn't handle. You have to have tough skin in this industry, period. He knows that. I think people forget that this man has a 28 year career in the industry and fantasized, lived and breathed the "entertainment world" since birth. He knows the biz and worked towards it. If he had a "toxic personality" with a "bad reputation" he would've been chewed up and spit out long before "year 28". Chevy Chase, Katherine Heigl, Mel Gibson, Kanye West. (To name a few) All these people, had great careers, however their bad reputations followed them very quickly, and they still suffer because of it. Not to mention, there was actual proof of their actions. This woman has no proof, and Jimmy has no "bad reputation" following. I think he would've sunk long ago, if he had. Even in school he was known as a "good guy". I think people really should remember Johnny Depp and Amber "Turd". Johnny was always this nice, generous person. He meets the woman from hell, and all of a sudden his career is in the toilet. Over her lies and deceit. Is it so hard to believe that this woman in the video isn't doing the exact same thing that Amber did?? When you work in a toxic environment you take care of it privately. When you sincerely apologize to someone for your wrong doings, you do it privately. When you're working on problems within your own marriage, you do it privately. You don't make waves and report it to news broadcasters (or online) first, just because you couldn't handle the job/challenge at hand. That's seeking attention.

I’ve known a lot of people who have worked in all aspects of entertainment. It is my impression that television production is the worst. High pressure, sleazy pier-trippers and a ton of accountability if you are not a celebrity but just a worker.

Bogus! Not saying he’s never done anything wrong but It’s clearly a hit piece, so you expect a guy who’s the linchpin personality of a major syndicated talk show to never be on the edge or not have off mood days in a fast paced work environment that relies heavily on him producing flawless comedic transitions with some of the most widely recognized celebrities in the world who all gave big egos themselves…Folks need to grow up there are people working in the equivalent of hell every day to barely pay bills while these coddled princesses are complaining in the comfort of air conditioning and rosy smelling dressing rooms what a joke 😂

Ok but can we all understand that the fact that maybe there’s some toxicity in your work doesn’t mean he necessarily knew it? I think the same thing happened to Ellen. Also Kelly Clarkson was accused of the same thing recently… don’t blame it on them bc I don’t think that Ellen or Kelly or Jimmy really knew about this.

I would love to hear the details because right now, they’re making it seem like Jimmy was kicking and calling them bitches and whatnot 🙄. Even if he did offend anyone, they should’ve approached him and say that and not go about talking to reporters who wants to make a name for themselves

I’ve never got the vibe that jimmy is a jerk. You could tell when Ellen had changed. Jimmy’s been consistent. I can honestly say as a person in charge of other people you can’t always be a care bear. You have to be direct and set a certain expectation for the quality of work you require. When you do that and your employees still don’t listen. Well…you gotta tell them how it is and the talk may not be pleasant. 😬😬😬 With jimmy on this one. 🤷‍♀️

No idea of Jimmy Fallon's behavior. However does seem like this reporter is a throwback to Walter Winchell, the first to be called a gossip columnist, Hedda Hopper, and their ilk. They made it their job to dig up and publish anything they could, from any source they could. True or not. The forerunners of the tabloids of today.
