i think he was a head of his time he did not fit in to conversional r&b and plus he took a different approach to topics very introspective especially with women

Trent Rama by conventional you must mean traditional. because Jodeci wasn't conventional either.
@trentrama26457 жыл бұрын
jodeci was different but this was close to writing music from an introspective way

I'm mad that I was born on 1994!! T-T I wish I was in my teens during the 90s. Love the music back then. Music today has FAILED trying to brainwash me. XD

I love how good out lasts fads. I knew Tony's music was something special back when I was a kid even if I couldn't convince many of my friends. All this time later people can listen to his music and be like... "yea, I feel this." Good stuff my man. Good times, good feels.

It's simply a point being made about the quality of most of the music being made today as opposed to music that was made around the time this song came out. There was a lot more substance in the lyrics, and music was in a purer form. Today's music, in my opinion, lacks a lot of that substance, and I do miss those days myself, and hope music reverts back to that older form.

"WORDS" from 1995 remains one of my very favorite records - up there together with "The Songs in the Key of Life" by Stevie Wonder, or "Older" by George Maichael. I also cannot understand why he wasn't a much, much..... bigger star. His newest production is called "ENCAUSTIC" (2017) - it is also not bad at all. A step below the "WORDS", but still the samy falvour. Oh well; maybe next life ?. Keep up your great work Tony Rich. You have some die-hard fans out there.
