very cool video. Nice and informative to get these kind of statistics. Will be interesting to see how high Nemesis goes once the pledge manager and late pledges open. The new Witcher game gained 2.2 Million since late pledges opened up.

VERY interesting to hear about stretch pay's usage. Always curious how many people actually use it. Not sure what I expected but feel like it's low, which is probably a good thing. Most people paying out right.

I back mostly on Gamefound, my type of games (narrative, adventure) are there. I go to Kickstarter for RPGs (e.g. Cartograph Atlas) and Indie games like 21X and games from Asia. I need GameOnTableTop to support the production of French editions like for Unsettled and Voidfall. A bit of Game Crafter (e.g. Doom Pilgrim) and the rest is retail (e.g. Evacuation).

I got #1 and #2 right. I also correctly guessed that Marvel United and Dice Throne would be in there, but guessed them at #5 and #10 respectively. Didn't track any of the other titles so I just guessed and was wrong with the rest.

I backed only Dragon Eclipse from the top 10, even though I have a tendency towards big box campaign games. Not caring a lot about Marvel, horror theme or competitive games helps I guess haha. I really like these videos as I enjoy board game stats and any insight in the industry. Definitely qualify as just a curious person 😜

We only backed 2 of the 10: Dragon Eclipse and Gloomhaven 2.0. I wanted to back neither of them but was overruled by my husband. I promised myself that we would back fewer games so I call this a success.

Surprised DCeased didn't make the top 10. I think CMON made a mistake doing 2 zombicide camaigns in 1 year. But a lot of great games here, I backed 3 of these myself 🙂

I got 6 right. I'm familiar with BattleTech (as it came from Mech warrior, I believe) - I tried the rpg with a friend a long while back. It was fun but not particularly my style. It seems to have a big niche following. That was not one of my guesses for your list!

I would find it interesting to know how many campaigns the companies in the top 10 had. i.e. Did Awaken Realm have 6 campaigns with 3 being in the top 10 and CMON have 3 with 2 in the top 10? Totally made up those numbers because I have no idea what they would actually be.

That's an excellent question, I believe awake in realms had three campaigns plus one accessories campaign. Cmon I don't remember off hand but I think they had four, maybe five

Buy now pay later always puts you at the risk of not having that money later. What then? Sometimes it is unavoidable like when buying a house or a car you need to commute to work. But boardgames? Deluxe all in crowdfunded boardgames? Heck, you can't even sell the boardgame when money gets tight because it is not even in your hands yet…
