@wally121000 fair point. However, is it better to sit alone, take some time for yourself, and go back focused and refreshed, or to spend time with someone who is using you and will deplete you, whether financially, physically or emotionally? A good partner is better than being alone, but alone is better than being with a bad partner.

@Miss.Weirdo007 жыл бұрын
In my experience, men who disappear without letting you know what's going on and how he's feeling... it's because he isn't the one for you. None of the guys that pulled away had good intentions, but they all came back after a long time like nothing happened, one of them made a big excuse and asking for forgiveness, I let him in my life again and after a week started to ignore me once again. What I've learned is that a man who really wants to stay with you won't make you go through these mind games. It's okay if someone needs space to think and spend time for himself, but ignoring and acting different after being sweet and caring? He knows he's pulling away at the worst way. A man that really likes you won't like you to feel hurt or rejected, no matter how much someone wants to justify this behavior I will not tolerate it. Quit being afraid of losing someone when it's not your fault and you gave your best, they can feel you're weak and allow him to drive you crazy. This is why you should focus on one guy while dating, you create a big obsession, he becomes a priority and to fix things you didn't ruin

I was actually pondering this today. When I was about 26 I hit that place, absolute happiness alone. I lived in a state of total bliss, no exaggeration. But then as if I had sent a signal out to the world all these men wanted into my life just because I honestly didn't care. Then one of them ran me down and proposed of which ended up not working out. This week I reached that same place of total happiness. I mean I wouldn't change a single thing, I am happier than anyone breathing. This time, I am going to be much wiser. I realize for reasons woman cannot understand that men like when you don't give a crap. And I really don't give a crap. I have officially created my own happiness, everything I ever wanted I have. Why is it when us woman find happiness on our own and it doesn't depend at all on any man, that they suddenly come running. Mark my words, I won't be making the same mistakes my younger self did.

This is what all men must read. Most men can't be happy alone, unfortunately. Women are way better at being happy alone. Men are always in need of constant female approval, that's where all useless compliments, kindness, chivalry, romance comes from. Men must stop buying the nonsense; ''you must love your country, 'your' woman, the only thing you should never love is yourself and other men''. Men must get rid of this nonsense and learn to be happy alone and must learn to love themselves. Seriously, men should read what you wrote.
@TheFairKnight7 жыл бұрын
Aimee Montgomery Mustafa U. You people speak from your pointless anecdotal experience and think you can generalize to other men? Seems you have a lot of growing up to do.
@KeiViolet7 жыл бұрын
Aimee Montgomery It's psychology. People have unfulfilled needs which they seek unconsciously to fulfill. When you are happy with yourself and authentic among the other things you own, people who lack or feel they lack those qualities and most of people do, will want to be with you because you have something they want. They unconsciously think that if they are with you it will rub off on them or if they are with someone with those qualities means they are worthy like that person, otherwise the person wouldn't be with them. Of course if they see you don't have the qualities they need they won't fall in love with you. Many women become needy and insecure in a relationship and the other side sees that, they lose the qualities they had in the beginning of the relationship and start depending on their men to make them happy, men see that and realize those qualities are not there anymore so they seek for someone else again who will fulfill them.

I can't work with that, I'm too independent and don't have time to raise another child. For now I'm enjoying my life and if I'm lucky to have another great love in my life, great. I have never had so many problems in relationships until texting came along. I allow texting at a minimum ONLY!! I can’t stand it. Don’t get me wrong , it’s handy. But will never allow it to be a part of a relationship like the younger generations.

I have seen every one of these 5 from relationships my sister and her friends have or have had. I hope everyone out there remembers that you deserve someone wonderful and great. Never settle for a person or a situation that is unworthy of the spectacular person you are.
@MsHaileyD7 жыл бұрын
Everybody Dance No guy is perfect period but anyone who has had any experience with relationships will figure out what they are willing to accept or work with and what they are not. Relationships take work. Either it's something you fight about and get through it, hopefully with one or both parties learn from it and moving forward, or its something that causes a fight and you break up. A relationship is not a fairy tale. It is a reality not the senario you come up with in your mind. It takes work and honest communication to build something worth while. I know too many people that breakup at the first problem and then get back together without ever really addressing the issue that broke them up in the first place and they just end up breaking up a few weeks later and on and on until you are left in a situation that is stagnant and you have to leave before you hate each other all the time. Love is great and wonderful but you have to remember that you can only know how you think and feel, and how you like things. Unless you are honest with each other you're just having a relationship with yourself. Everyone deserves someone that likes them for them, flaws and all, and someone who will want to go work for a life together. There is also a difference between trying to change someone and both parties learning to compromise.

"Never settle" is very dangerous and double edged advice. It might encourage you not to settle with a bad person, but it also might to turn on "look for better" mindset and though you would have good person at your side, you will not settle and try to find better, most likely ending up never finding one.
@joyejohnsonauthor7 жыл бұрын
I always sober up by asking myself 'how is he treating me?' Don't think about how you feel, just look at how he's treating you. You may not like the truth, but you're better off forgetting the guy than making excuses just so you can get a fix. If you're part of an intervention, you don't accept excuses from the addict. They are focused on how good the drug makes them feel, not on how the drug is treating them. It's the same with guys. If he's not treating you right, the high you get from being around him is irrelevant. He is bad for your health. Don't contribute to your own destruction by stressing over unresponsive people. That's why you don't hand over your body before you're committed. My brother told me a man will be a monk for a woman he really wants. If he drops out of your life, delete his number. If he decides to come back, be polite but make him do the work. Make room on your horizon for other guys.

Saves a lot of time & headache once you realize that they can’t or won’t ever meet you in public or it takes them 2 hrs to reply to a simple text message! Watch for the suspicious, erratic/evasive behavior & then you’ll know. Everyone WILL ALWAYS tell you who they really are but you have to know what to look for & you have to listen to your gut instincts

I wish I had had a talk with your sister a year ago. Not that he is exactly "taken" but, there are other issues which ... if I knew what questions to ask I may have thought twice before getting involved, or taking the relationship too seriously. "I'm having dinner with a friend" is something he had emailed to me 2 months before we met IRL. In my mind I imagined 2 dudes going to a sports bar for burgers or something like that. It turns out "friend" is his ex-girlfriend...who he sees on a very regular basis. I just didn't think to ask for details about his friend during the email exchange. There was a lot of information about their relationship that I would have appreciated knowing before falling for him head over heels.

Third, I prefer guys who have self control, are spiritually minded, and have something of value to offer. Not self-observed men who are more concerned with satisfying their temporal pleasures than building a strong, spiritual connection with another soul. I know men who also wait until marriage. There was a time a while back..when smack bang in the middle of an intimate moment the guy said.. " I'm not looking for a relationship...so i thought i should tell you up front so i don't hurt you..😆😂 My instant reply to that statement was said in a very calm and matter of fact way.. "Who said anything about getting into a relationship...i didn't..it's the first i've heard about any of it and it's the last thing going on in my mind. " He went silent for quite a bit..and from that moment.. needless to say..the mood and moment were all over. After that..i hadn't heard anything from him in just over a week...and then out of the blue..i get a random text msg that read.. " If i call you, will you speak to me ? " Of course i said yes..because i'd known him for a very long time..and i wasn't even angry with him. He called a few mins later..and said a few things about being busy with work and family and that's why he hadn't been in touch..blahh blahh..waffle..waffle..and then he comes out with.. " I didn't want a relationship..but i do with you." Unfortunately for him i actually meant what i said..and more so after what and when he said it. He showed me exactly who he was right there in that very moment..that he didn't know what he wanted..and that he couldn't be trusted because he waited until the middle of an intimate moment to say it..instead of saying it well before the intimate moment. Had that've been someone else..that may have actually wanted a relationship..but was never given the option to opt out prior to the intimacy. NOT COOL !!! Actions do speak louder than words..and a person's pattern scream's their truth !!! So ladies..there you have it..no need to make excuses for bad behaviour. If you feed bad behaviour..you breed even worse behaviour. I heard a brilliant saying once.. that went... " Listen to your Heart/Gut..because lust makes your head go all stooopid !! 😴😜😝😆😂 🙏

While I agree, I find it interesting how people will judge someone by actions like this as though that is who they are and always will be. It is quite possible that he realised his mistake and decided to never do that again,and to bring that stuff up before intimacy next time. We all make mistakes, and hopefully we learn from them. Nobody tells us how these things work and what you're supposed to do/say, so it is learning by trial and error. You make a lot of mistakes and learn from them and get better. The you become one of the guys who knows what to do - but those guys only know what to do because they made the mistakes and learnt from them, probably earlier on than the guys you ate dating who don't know those things. He's drained and exhausted the whole time Doesn't put as much effort now. Giving him space and time to recover and rest fully but I can't bear this distant. Can't know where he stands now cus he's still not himself.

Did you put as much effort as he was putting. That's the no. 1 that makes GOOD MOOD lose interest Also, was the relationship Respectful from the start. He didn't disrespect you and you also didn't disrespect him. These are questions you ask

Ever thought maybe the person you met initially was the fake and this is the real him? You should look up "love bombing". It's a real thing that narcissistic people do to get you depending on them so they can later abuse you as they wish. You're left thinking that it's your fault they changed but the truth is the person you fell for never existed in the first place.

Honestly I sort of disappeared on my girlfriend briefly and started to get a little distant because as we were getting more intimate and close I felt like a piece of shit because 1. I didn't feel I was good enough for her - she has far better options. And 2. I couldn't figure out what she ever saw in me and I was thinking I should end this before I get deeper into it. At one point I was in her house and thinking to myself "What the hell am I doing here?"

Look up hypergamy, Briffault's Law for starters. 🤔 Then read Esther Vilar's The Manipulated Man book. Pay close attention to The Chameleon Syndrome chapter. Try also Lawrence Shannon's The Predatory Female book too. 😊 Women always have an agenda when it comes to choosing theri mates. You have to remain impartial & start noticing those small clues that give her off. 🤔

Find your bliss, and when someone comes along, set boundaries so they don’t invade your bliss, you should create something separate with them that adds to your life, not takes away 😊

He also might disappear because he is not attracted to you. Might be something you've done or something you are. It might not even be something wrong with you, just something that makes you incompatible. I had someone try these 'tricks' with me and I just ended what was left of the friendship. I'm not stupid and neither are most men. You can't trick someone into a meaningful relationship and you can't get any guy or girl you want by 'gaming' them. If you are a horrible person he will eventually see through all of the 'game'. If you want an exceptional guy, then make sure you are offering things of equal worth to what you are asking for, be that looks, personality, success, dependability, thoughtfulness...or whatever. Having standards when you have nothing to offer for meeting those standards is pointless. What I'm saying is work on yourself and develop qualities that make being around you worth while for anyone in your life. If you are someone that is truly great fun, can help carry a conversation, looks good, is reasonable, can think about his emotions too (instead of only your own), you are going to stand out compared to a lot of women he meets. Your standards will be meaningful because on the other side of them is someone rare he wants to be with.

Ezno SnomuchThank you! I was beginning to think this section was just a whistling wind of pointlessness. You are too right! Unfortunately, often all you get is a first impression. And there are so many things that can intercept all the positives you have to offer. They say anything worth while takes work. I'm still stubborn enough to call the fate card. I have a lot of work ahead of me. Life alone calls me in different directions currently. I am not a people pleaser, though I care and want to spare everyones feelings always. There is only one you. The idea that someone's interest could hang on a physical feature, your laugh or smile, how gracefully you move, knowledgeability in limited, obscure areas, how submissive you are, your career or monetary value, your contributions to society or the global platform, how willing you are to change or suppress what makes you unique. It aggravates me. I'm willing to learn more about someone, but I have yet to find someone who isn't superficial and is willing to dig deeper than the obvious. The only positive is the constant look of surprise throughout your time together when you do something they didn't expect, didn't know you had knowledge of, or didnt know you were capable of. Drawback- constantly being under valued, under appreciated, and underestimated. What I want is probably a needle in a hay stack. Raising standards so you don't fall back into the blah life of good enough is right and should be embraced. However, it seems to cut you off at the knees. They tell you "you will be better off in the end", but they don't say how much strength you need to love yourself to get there. Why isn't there just a shortcut or something that jumps you ahead to either happy in yourself or in a relationship, stamped and posted, express mail

@scott sanger Exactly. Modern Humans have overcomplicated even the simplest things. Survival/self-presevation and reproduction are really the only things Humans live for. Anything else is delusion.
