I’ve done exactly what you said I should do. It didn’t go anywhere. Truth is the guy isn’t putting in the effort it’s not worth the effort. One thing I disagree is not communicating your wants and feelings. I’ve done that at first and it doesn’t work. I’ve been trying to fix myself after the trauma I’ve been through life in childhood and adult from people. What I’ve found out is if you can’t communicate with someone there’s no hope for a relationship to work long term. In fact everyone I know with a good healthy relationship communication is key. I had to walk away from a guy who said he didn’t know what he wanted but thought I was amazing and had feelings for me too. It was not a good situation for me emotionally. It wasn’t getting better it was getting worse. It’s awful But I learned if you can’t communicate you’ll be miserable. Plus I will never ghost someone. I give a 3 strike rule instead. If it isn’t getting better and if I can’t talk it out with you I’m out. Therapy has helped me with a lot of insight. Never do more than your part. Both parties need to be invested and able to communicate. It’s how friendships work. Look at those people with stable relationships that keep growing. Communication and both parties respect and do their parts. Never put more investment for a man if he’s not willing or expecting you to make up for injustices I’m the past or fix him. It’s not anyone else’s job to fight for you or play games. It’s a sign of immaturity. It’s simple either you can be a decent human being or not. Why complicate simple stuff. Your either interested or your not. Never try to convince someone your worth is. You deserve more respect than that. Life has much more to offer than to convince people your awesome.

Mistake 1) 3:05 Some women base their efforts on how much they like a guy, instead of how much he likes them, putting in a 100 when you're getting 10. Antidote: 5:08 ALWAYS EXPECT TO BE RESPECTED. NEVER EVER be "AFRAID", even though unwilling, to be without him or lose him. if he's immature, not knowing what he wants, don't overcompensate to make things easy. A good man will grow to be able to meet your standards. Mistake 2) 6:51 Having a high tolerance level, sitting down dreaming of all that could be instead of all that IS. Antidote: 8:15 Lower your tolerance level for continuous, inconsiderate behavior. If you have to play hard to get or threaten to leave him so he won't disappear, it's time to disappear on him. Forget the feelings no matter how hard. He's continuously making you unhappy so girl get out of there! THEN LISTEN TO THE RECAP! 8:48 Demand your worth and standards. If he doesn't step up, boy bye! Thanks Brian!!!

She liked me on some level since she agreed to a couple dates with me, and admitted she was interested in me when I brought up her distancing issues, but she seemed to have an avoidant style and admitted to me that she had social anxiety. I'm pretty open-minded and was understanding to that, so I really worked on my end to be the more social one that tended to reach out more. She just put up too many walls though. Super difficult to schedule dates with, took literally DAYS to give me just one response to a message trying to make plans. Then to clarify an aspect of the plans, wait another 2-3 days. Then to set the day of the date, another 2-3 days of waiting. After a while, my interest fizzled out, because this is just the start of things, this was supposed to be her "best foot forward". The other thing I would say is, if you are making it too hard for the guy, he will just get tired of it and walk away. However, that is if you are actually not putting in that much effort to begin with, which is probably the minority of women on this video. Chances are, a lot of these guys who disappear are just fuck boys you are dealing with.
@nihilisticbarbie5 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear that. To me, it's rude what that girl was doing to you. Especially since you knew she had social anxiety and were understanding. She took advantage of that. I think women find it difficult to look within ourselves and see if it's patterns in our behavior that affects any progress of a relationship as well. No one wants to admit we have flaws that might interfere, but it's best you identify and work on those issues when you're single, so you're not projecting them onto another person. There's women out there that call themselves 'queens' but if you strip away the outer exterior, they're just as insecure and self- doubting as anyone else. It's normal, but it's better to address those underlying issues, rather than put on a mask and appear overconfident.

Thanks for the advice. Yes the guy was the one who kept on putting the effort. Then now pulled away. I actually sent a greeting message. Just short and sweet. Not " asking questions why you are pulling away" I follow this advice and make him feel that " im still here" But if doesnt message me again (ghosting), I understand. I have to let go who does not want to hold my hand and stay with me in the first place.

I think many of this men do it on purpose. They first lovebomb, then do that intermittent treatment and then you are hooked ! And then they start the on and off ghosting, which is cruel. Even a rich guy can do it. You have to see the red flags and then go into the distance. It took me a long to realize that all that was manipulation. If you are hooked, it is almost impossible to just leave. That is the problem. And even if you can do it with all your strenght, they will do the mobbing over social media with their new supply. It is awful.

Meme Bladen maybe but I just described my situation above! He put forth a huge effort and made his feelings for me known early. I didn’t. I did let my guard down but didn’t push or anything. He acted like he was head over heels for me and then out of nowhere, he was done! I was angry at first because I didn’t deserve it but I didn’t realize that I fell for him until he did that! It still hurts because I don’t understand it! Maybe he had a fear of me rejecting him coming out of a divorce! Who knows! I know he had a personal issue come up with finances around that time but that seems dumb to end it. Maybe his goal was to get me to fall for him. Maybe he is a narcissist and when he realized I’m a strong woman he didn’t want that because he can’t manipulate me? Who knows! I do know that 3 months later, if I see him again I will be icy as hell! I don’t need that! I met someone new and this guy is an actual grown up (even though they’re the same age!). This is more what I need! Someone stable mentally! We will see where things go with the new guy.

When he pulls away, we go from feeling wonderful to wondering what's going on. While we may want answers and even feel we need answers, it is best to do to him as he is doing to us. No, it's a compatibility issue! Not every relationship that starts off good will end that way! As the relationship progresses he might find a dealbreaker with her, and cannot bare the awkwardness of telling her that he feels it's over. Much like if a girl who is talking to this guy, the guy is interested but she is not so she will generally tell him she has a b/f to avoid awkwardness. Both sexes do this when they feel there is a compatibility issue. There is no easy solution to this problem. I think it can be improved and handled better.

This is sage advice. It’s hard to have clarity sometimes when our emotions are high. These are good navigational tools he offers. How we are in the early stages of a relationship with each other totally sets the stage for everything to follow. Better to do it right with some clarity and self-discipline than to fail yet again. Or to get out sooner rather than later if it’s just not right. It’s about caring enough about ourselves and setting boundaries for self-respect and respect of the other, despite their behavior. That way they can hopefully learn and do a little better with the next person.

I'm regularly horrified when I hear what other women put up with to have a man such a lying, cheating, gambling and drug use. I recently tried a dating app again and encountered a man who basically said he thought all women were cheating gold digging wh*res, another obnoxious patronising man who tried to pressure me into an immediate phonecall, a lot of men who didn't fill in their profiles properly yet acted funny if I asked them basic questions such as 'do you have any children,' and a lot of ghosters. It's depressing. I'm focusing on starting a business instead and will join sport and hobby groups to meet new people rather than use dating apps which feel like a huge waste of time.

I’m writing this to put out there that ghosting people is NOT the right way to end any relationship. It takes 2 minutes to politely say things aren’t working out can we be friends. I was talking to a guy for about 2 months & everything was fine the first month. He seemed like a god sent. I hadn’t had anything serious in years because I was very scared to let my guard down out of fear. t. I met him at a local afterhours club. I’m very outgoing & I talked to him but I was so drunk I didn’t remember much. I started getting texts the next afternoon. We hit it off texting. He asked me out & I said yes. he told me he had a disability that he didn’t think I would judge him on . I asked him if he would tell me but he wanted to Tell me in person. When I first got in his car he wasn’t talking. I got nervous. When he did talk it sounded like he had a learning disability. I became really nervous but then I realized he was deaf . I wouldn’t never judge a good man on something like that.he said he had a hard time talking to women because of it. He was ok looking. Not what you would call attractive but I found that his personality made him look amazing. He was so accepting of me & my past. ( I had a struggle with addiction & have been clean for a long long time ). We really hit it off. Talked for hours. The guards I had up fell quick as I found myself liking him to much . I hadn’t slept with anyone in 2 1/2 years because I wanted to wait for the correct man because I got tired of feeling lousy after sleeping with someone & nothing be behind it. He knew this about me & I gave myself to him. Things changed afterwards. I found myself longing to be by his side & he was always busy. ( he works very very hard ). But I knew it was also because I began to like him & I think the chase to get me was over. I don’t have a problem attracting men . I am very outgoing & am told I’m very attractive .( I don’t believe this I have low self esteem). Well we continued to talk & I tried holding his attention the best I could. I used sex. Don’t get me wrong I wanted to be with him . We sexted for hours but he never wanted to see me. I bought beautiful lingerie to try to impress him . I wanted him bad & he got further away. He asked me if I would ever go on a mountain trip with fireplace,hot tub champagne, snow on the ground ,clear skies & no clothes allowed cause he liked making memories that last. My heart melted. I’ve never experienced anything like that & I was truly in heaven at the thought. Then a few days past no text. I was officially confused. I am a talker & a deep texter & I wrote out a long text asking him if he was actually interested in me. I was super confused as to what was happening. It was an up & down roller coaster of emotions on figuring out what he felt. It took 3 days to get a response & he claimed to be very sick . We still continued to talk & sext . I tried so hard to get him liking me again . I was loosing. He still sexted with me. I wanted him bad so I messaged him demanding he see me soon & then a long confusing text apologizing for acting that way. We really had developed a connection or so I believed. During these 2 months I bore my soul to him . I fell into a deep like with him & I didn’t know how to handle it . Well that Friday I sent that apology he told me we are cool & to enjoy my night out & he would talk to me tomorrow. Well he didn’t text at all & I was waiting on him to text. Nothing. A week past & I texted him asking if he was mad & please get back. Nothing. Saturday I do it again. Nothing. Sunday I ask him please as a friend let me know what I did . Nothing, Sunday the same & nothing. Monday the same nothing & tues I left a final text saying “I hope your ok & nothing is wrong . take care”. Still nothing. I can tell they were delivered & I wasn’t blocked ( it didn’t say read but it said delivered. He doesn’t have read receipts on). Today is Wednesday & it’s been 12 days since we last spoke & I’ve been beside myself wondering what I did. I didn’t expect this. I’ve been crying non stop. I really let my guard down & now I’m emotionally naked & my heart is broken. Why ghost me? I wish he could of just said it’s not working.this isn’t something I think he would ever do . Now I don’t know what happened & I’m emotionally drained. I cannot believe the first guy I allowed in to my soul in years would ghost me like I never existed. I sit here with a broken heart . I would of been happy to keep him as a regular friend because he seemed so genuine & now he’s just up & gone without a word to say. I’m just so sad . I know i won’t hear back. I don’t want to pass him on the street & look the other way. I gave this man a piece of myself by telling him who I was for real & honest. I gave him myself after not being with a man for years. He threw me away with both hands & with nothing to say. Anyone out there considering ghosting someone please rethink it. The person your ghosting may really care for you & you could really really hurt their feelings. It takes only a few minutes to explain you don’t think things are working. Saying that would feel a lot better than saying nothing at all. Now I sit here confused, hurt , worried , sad , mad & lonely. I wish he would get back but it’s not going to happen so I gotta let go . I would of treated him so well. I accepted & embraced everything about him . He did like me at first. I could tell... the sensual things that happened were the key. Moving my hair out of my face to look at me.. the way he was made me so happy then I lost him. If I can stop one person from ghosting someone by writing this then I’ll be so happy. You never know how much you can hurt someone & you never know the friend or lover that your throwing away without a word to say. Now I gotta pick myself up & move on . I’ll always wonder why this happened but I wish him no ill will. I believe he is still that amazing man I fell in like with . He had low self confidence that I wanted to boost because I thought he was just amazing. Maybe this is his way of handling it but it’s wrong. He will always hold a piece of my heart because I gave it freely. Hopefully he dosent throw that away too. Thank you for allowing me to share my story. Stay blessed .

Thank you Hirt! This is the best advice. Unfortunately I fell deeply deeply in love with a man who treated me like a goddess when we went out. I felt seen, I felt heard, I felt like he knew me as a person ...we laughed ...we had great conversations, but in bed he always disconnected from me and seemed to absolutely not care about my pleasure, which was completely the opposite of how he would treat me outside of the bedroom. It was very confusing. I would only get to see him on the weekends, Saturday about 4 o'clock until Sunday about the same time. He never expressed a desire to commit to me and when he said he wanted to be in a relationship, he told me years later that he never had the intention to committ to me then either. I realized after seven years of this that he was a sociopath. He figured out exactly what I wanted to get from him and then he tried to give it to me but in the bedroom he couldn't hide the lack of emotion. Sociopaths are good at playing a role, and he was very good at acting and playing the character of the perfect gentleman, but in truth, he was in it only for himself. But I made so many excuses for him over the years because of my level of attraction to him, completely denying all of the red flags that he was with me only for his convenience and his pleasure. Never again.

Yes. And unfortunately narcissists and sociopaths are far more common than we realise.

Stop putting this all on yourself ladies. Many guys are not ready for anything real, they just want someone for instant attention or to stroke their ego. Keep being fabulous, and don’t invest so much emotionally. Even if you are married, he’s just a guy. Keep setting your standards high. I’m guilty! I give 110% into anything I like. But Brain is right. Let HIM show the effort. If you feel you are becoming too attached, pull back and open yourself up to other men or your own hobbies and goals. Keep the focus on what you love. If he doesn’t chase you he doesn’t deserve you. Who needs that drama? You are a Queen ❤️
