I also teach Business Leadership and Management but made the mistake of following US tips and ignored my own knowledge of business (Numpty) Was feeling really down about my shop - not making profit at all but I am sooooo pleased I just watched Cassiys vlog. Hi Daniel! Just saw your interview with Cassiy. I already have an Etsy store selling digital tumbler and t-shirt sublimation designs. I’m UK based but most of my customers are in the US. I like the idea of POD but the main thing that puts me off is:- How to price my products, it seems complicated trying to work out profit margins. Would be nice to see this simplified. Also I worry about the customer service aspect. Like I’m usually asleep when I get questions and even though I answer all within 24 hours I don’t like making people wait. Lastly, my job takes a lot of my day and energy. I’m not good at putting aside enough time, consistently. I’ve made £800 in revenue since I opened my store in Aug ‘23. I’m happy with that, but I’d love to do well enough so that I only had one job and not two 😂

Hi there! First off, huge congrats on your Etsy store success so far - £800 in revenue since August is an amazing start! 🌟 Jumping into the world of POD does come with its nuances, especially around pricing and customer service, but from my experience it's definitely manageable! Pricing Products: This is a valid concern and an important topic to get right. I'll be releasing a video around how to price products in the near future - but in the meantime I would recommend that you check out an Etsy profit calculator (there's a bunch online) and have a play around with some numbers! Customer Service: It's great that you're committed to timely responses. From my experience, most customers understand time zone differences and that you might have other things on your plate. For reference, my average response time is around 8 hours, and I have never received a complaint around this. Time Management: Balancing a job and an Etsy store can be a headache. What's worked for me is trying to set specific 'Etsy hours' in your week, even if it's just a couple of hours. Consistency, even in small doses, can lead to great results. Scaling your Etsy store to a point where it can become your main job is definitely possible! But it (sadly) doesn't happen overnight. Incremental improvements and efficient time management are key :D

I haven't opened my etsy store, but I find kid of confusing why I need to send the order to printify everytime I make a sell, why not is more automatic? 🤔 the are not too many videos about the process once you make a sell I think, congrats on your new Channel by the way 💯

Thanks for your kind words! You don't actually need to send the orders to Printify yourself - it's a lot more simple! Once you set up an Etsy shop, you can sign up for Printify and integrate your shop, so that orders are automatically routed to the print provider. I'll be posting a step-by-step tutorial on how to get your Etsy Print on Demand store setup soon, so stay tuned for that!

Hello Daniel, thanks for posting about Etsy and POD. I starting designing my Etsy shop in January and started listing in September. I was just so undecided and finally designed and listed some things and got a order the next day two weeks later, another organic order, I have just had 3 orders in 2 months but now nothing. I would love some input and suggestions if you would look at my shop and give me feedback. I have reached out to a few youtubers and no response. Help
